COUNTY HEALTH RANKINGS AND ROADMAPS INITIATIVE The County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program compares the health of nearly all counties in the United States to others within its own state, and supports coalitions tackling the social, economic and environmental factors that influence health.. The annual Rankings provide a revealing snapshot of how health is influenced by where we live, learn, work and play. CLIMATE CHANGE, ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE, AND THE RISE OF In response to our funding proposal, Cities Taking Action to Address Health, Equity, and Climate Change, we learned of promising solutions to air pollution, heat stress, and food insecurity taking root in over 100 cities across 60 countries—from Accra to Athens, Seoul to SãoPaulo.
FUNDING OPP: INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH LEADERS Interdisciplinary Research Leaders (IRL) is a three-year national leadership development program that aims to foster and support new interdisciplinary, action-oriented research collaborations. Achieving health equity—especially for communities of color, those in low socioeconomic positions, and Native populations—is a core value ofthe program.

The findings imply the COVID-19 recession is disproportionately affecting workers paid low wages, many of whom did not have employer-sponsored coverage even when they were working.
