Currently acceptance onto the Teacher Register is by submission of a portfolio of evidence following training and observation by two Teacher Trainers. All Registered Practitioners have completed an approved level of training, follow our Code of Conduct and Ethics and are fully insured. Upon fulfilling our requirements for recognition members become Professional Members of the Shiatsu Society (MrSS). SrSS (Senior Member) and FwSS (Fellow) are further categories of Professional Membership. CPD is mandatory for all Professional Members of the Shiatsu Society. The Shiatsu Society holds a Register of Practitioners. Shiatsu practitioners who have completed an approved level of training are recognised as Professional Members (MrSS) of the Shiatsu Society. After five years of practicing they may become Senior Members (SrSS) and after ten years Fellows of the Shiatsu Society (FwSS). CPD is mandatory for all Professional Members of the Shiatsu Society.Find Out More

Becoming an Associate of the Shiatsu Society is open to anyone with an interest in Shiatsu, as well as to Shiatsu Practitioners from any school of Shiatsu which is currently not registered with the Shiatsu Society.
