SolarAid’s core model, The SunnyMoney Way, begins by working with local schools and head teachers to build trust and demand for solar lights. Whilst this model has reached over 11 million people with CALCULATE YOUR IMPACT In 2015 the world committed to achieve 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) by 2030. Six years on, progress on SDG7 in Africa, which aims to “Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all”, is going in the wrong direction. EVERY LIGHT HAS A STORY School closures due to COVID-19 are hitting the most vulnerable children in Malawi hard. Radio lessons have been developed but the widespread energy poverty means a lot of students are lacking radiosin their homes.

POWERING ST. PAUL'S MISSION St. Paul’s Mission Rural Health Centre in Zambia has suffered for a long time from consecutive power cuts, especially during the rainy season. Healthcare worker have been forced to either stop their work or carry out procedures in the dark with the help of small handheld torches.
