SOLITARY WANDERER
Read the tales and tips of Aleah Taboclaon, a solo female traveler from the Philippines, as she travels around the world. EXPERIENCE ANTIQUE: DAY TRIP TO SECO ISLAND Experience Antique: Day Trip to Seco Island. You’ve probably seen drone photos of it — a small, elbow-shaped island surrounded by clear, green and blue waters. It basically looks like a clump of fine white sand dumped in the middle of the ocean, with just a handful of trees and shrubs somewhere on the side. The first time I saw picturesof
ANCIENT ROMAN RUINS IN JERASH, JORDAN Just behind is the Hippodrome, a 254m-long, 52m-width stadium that seated crowds of up to 15,000 for Roman chariot races.. You will also see the Oval Plaza, or Forum, a paved limestone plaza surrounded by Ionic columns and considered distinct because of its shape and width.Oval-shaped plazas were a rare sight during the Roman era, and at its widest point, the structure measures up to 80m. THE PLUNGE IN DANAO ADVENTURE PARK, BOHOL The Plunge is reportedly one of the world’s highest canyon swings with a 75-meter free fall. The launch deck is situated 200 meters above the canyon floor, and the free fall takes around four seconds. It is the bestselling attraction in Danao, and the scariest as well. Not everyone who goes to Danao manages to take the Plunge. WHY YOU SHOULD GO AND VISIT BATANES NOW It is a given that Batanes has lots of picturesque views. From North Batan to South Batan, Sabtang, and Itbayat (which I still have to go), you won’t be able to stop taking photos. Better yet, just stay still and absorb the beauty around you. The rolling hills of Vayang Ranch. Serenity at Chamantad-Tinyan Viewpoint on Sabtang. WHY BATAAN SHOULD BE IN YOUR BUCKET LIST Text and photos (unless otherwise stated) by Karla Ramos. The Philippines, though a bit small in terms of land area, is chock-full of wonderful places to visit, and one of them is a province called Bataan.. Bataan may not be as popular a travel destination as Boracay or Palawan but that shouldn’t discourage you to visit Bataan.. What Bataan lacks in white sandy beaches, it makes up for in GOING TO THE ENCHANTED RIVER, HINATUAN How to go to the Enchanted River. Take the bus from Butuan City and get off at Hinatuan town. From there, take the habal-habal (a public transport motorcycle). You can either wait for other passengers (P40) or hire the whole thing for P200-250. You can get to Butuan City from Manila via Cebu Pacific or Philippine Airlines. 10 ESSENTIAL THINGS TO DO IN NEW ORLEANS FOR SOLO TRAVELERS 8. Bike around Uptown and the Garden District and ogle the gorgeous mansions there. 9. Ride the St. Charles streetcar. 10. Experience the wonder of Mardi Gras. This is the Cajun French expression HOW TO SPEND A WEEKEND IN WASHINGTON DC -- WITHOUT GOING BROKE I’ve been to Washington DC twice, and I loved it. I loved how it’s so easy to go around, and I loved that their museums are free. Yes, it’s possible to visit the United States capital without going broke, and I’ll definitely write about it someday!.
