SUMMER | SPECIAL OLYMPICS NEW JERSEY 2019 Summer Games. From June 7-9, 2019 athletes competed in bocce, gymnastics, tennis, softball, swimming, powerlifting, and track and field. This 3-day competition took place on the campus of The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) and was a weekend full of inspiration, beautiful weather, and plenty of smiles! 2019 Summer Games Recap. Special Olympics New Jersey is proud to announce the return of summer competition at the 2021 Summer Sports Finals! The competition will be the culmination of weeks of intense athlete training after almost two years of being away from their sport. Athletes can compete in-person or virtually in Bocce, Gymnastics, Powerlifting, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, and Track and Field (Athletics).
