Soldiers will begin to mentor students from the surrounding districts at the Bell County JJAEP. The mentors will be on campus for about an hour and a half each week and will work with classroom staff to foster the students’ academic success while ERIC MARIN - SOUTHWEST KEY PROGRAMS Eric Marin. Eric joined Southwest Key as the Chief Financial Officer in 2019. As CFO, Eric leads the finance and accounting team and is responsible for overseeing the financial health of Southwest Key. Southwest Key Workforce Development, LLC operates Workforce Solutions (WFS) in Cameron County, TX, which is devoted to promoting and supporting a workforce structure that provides employers and individuals the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity. THE SCHOOL-TO-PRISON PIPELINE: HOW SCHOOLS ARE FAILING 87% of punishments in Texas schools in the school year 2017-2018 were discretionary and mandated by the Student Code of Conduct. These discretionary acts are often categorized as non-violent and non-criminal, resulting in students being funneled into the juvenile justice system when they haven’t broken any laws.
