The best part is you don’t have to make several different colors of royal icing. Thick icing is used to make royal icing flowers, leaves and even for piping string work. It is used to ‘glue’ cookie stick to the back of cookies to make cookie HOW TO MAKE STUNNING BUTTERCREAM RANUNCULUS WITH VIDEO Once you have the cone, pipe 4 petals around it. Start at the base of the cone and pipe the petal to the opposite side of the flower without covering the center. When you pipe the petals, make a small rainbow shape with the tip of the piping bag. HOW TO FIX A MISTAKE ON A DECORATED COOKIE Grab a piping bag and pipe a little royal icing where you removed the damaged royal icing. Take the turkey lacer and stick the tip of it in the wet royal icing you just piped. Here is the secret, treat the turkey lacer like it’s a sewing machine needle. Move it up and down in the same spot so it will kinda jiggle the royal icing smooth. HOW TO FREEZE A CAKE BEFORE FROSTING IT Recently I shared a tutorial on how to dirty ice a cake and a lot of people asked me what ‘dirty icing’ was.
