Royal ancestors tablets are enshrined here and memorial services are performed for kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty. Construction on the Confucian style shrine was completed in 1395 by the orders of KingTaejo.
HUWON SECRET GARDEN : SECRET REAR GARDEN OF CHANGDEOKGUNG Huwon Secret Garden. Huwon Secret Garden is a rear garden at the palace that flows naturally with nature and was used as a place of leisure by members of the royal family. The garden, which has also been known as Bukwon, Geumwon, and Biwon. At 78 acres, the garden takes up about sixty percent of the palace grounds. SEODAEMUN PRISON HISTORY HALL This prison hall is a memorial and a stark reminder of those sacrifices. Construction on the prison started in 1907 during the last years of the Great Korean Empire or Daehan Empire. When completed on October 21, 1908, it was known as Gyeongseong Gamok (Gyeongseong Prison). The name was changed to Seodaemun Gamok on September 3, 1912. GYEONGHOERU PAVILION: TWO STORY PAVILION ON MAN MADE POND A two story pavilion was built here in 1412 during the reign of King Taejong. About 60 years later, during the reign of King Seongjong (1469-1494), the pavilion began to tilt. It was decided that the pavilion would have to be be rebuilt. Gyeonghoeru Pavilion burned down by the Japanese in 1592 during the Imjin War. CHUNGMURO PET STREET : PET SUPPLIES, VETERINARIANS, AND Chungmuro Pet Street. Chungmuro Pet Street is a group of pet stores with dogs and cats, animal hospitals, groomers, and veterinarian offices located east of Chungmuro Station. The collection of markets is located along Toegye-ro street just outside exit 1 of the subway station. The market was first established in the 1970s. USO TOUR - THE SEOUL GUIDE Option 1. BRIDGES - THE SEOUL GUIDE Banpo Bridge, the location of the Moonlight Rainbow Show, is a girder bridge that spans the Han River connecting the districts of Seocho and Yongsan. Construction on the double decker bridge was completed in 1982. The real reason people come here is to see the falling and dancing water, lights, and music of the Moonlight Rainbow Fountainshow.
SEOUL FOREST : THE "CENTRAL PARK" OF SEOUL Seoul Forest. One of the many pathways through Seoul Forest. Changgyeonggung Palace, located in the heart of Seoul, has been used as a royal residence and and as a secondary palace for queens and the king’s father. A summer palace known as Sunganggung was first built at this location in 1104 during the reign of King Sukjong of the GoryeoDynasty.

Seoul has a rich history which can be seen by wandering the grounds of one of the magnificent and historic Five Grand Palaces. You can also find advanced technology, amazing architecture, unique foods and dishes, and friendly locals who are always welcoming to new visitors. Many neighborhoods and districts here have a small town feel to them.
