Costco Debuting New Kirkland Bourbons Sourced From Barton 1792. May 12, 2021 / By Nino Kilgore-Marchetti. American. WHISKEY REVIEW: 2021 SWEETENS COVE TENNESSEE BOURBON Now, the 2021 version is here and we’re curious if it lives up to the hype for which we, ourselves, are partly responsible. The 2021 limited release of Sweetens Cove Tennessee Bourbon is a blend of three Tennessee bourbons, aged 4, 6, and 16 years. As we mentioned, the 2020 offering came from 100 identical barrels barreled on the same date and from one distillery; but the 2021 blends three WHISKEY REVIEW: PUNCHER'S CHANCE KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON Tasting Notes: Puncher’s Chance Kentucky Straight Bourbon Vital Stats: 45% ABV (90 Proof).Marriage of 4-, 5-, and 6-year-old bourbon. Suggested retail $34.99/750mL. Appearance: Dark gold and clear with medium viscosity. Nose: Musty wood and hints of sweet vanilla. Palate: The bourbon smells sweeter than it is on the palate.Citrus peel and the slight bitter of cocoa powder give way to a COSTCO DEBUTING NEW KIRKLAND BOURBONS SOURCED FROM BARTON As for what’s known on each, here’s what has appeared on the individual labels in question: Kirkland Signature Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is enjoyably smooth with its notes of oak and rye spice accented by vanilla and caramel. These notes grow and meld together, ending in a sweet, lingering finish. WHISKEY REVIEW: WHEEL HORSE BOURBON Tasting Notes: Wheel Horse Bourbon. Vital Stats: 101 proof, 50.5% ABV. This is batch number one and aged a minimum of two years. Mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. ~ $26 per 750ml bottle. Appearance: A darker shade of copper, bordering on brown with orange highlights. In the glass, there were several long legs along the side. WHISKEY REVIEW: OLD TUB BOURBON Un-filtered (only screened to remove wood particles). $21.95 for a 750mL. Appearance: Golden sunflower. Bottle has a nice vintage look. Nose: Smells oddly similar to a fermenting vat – sweet corn and sour mash. Caramel, hay, vanilla and spice. Straight forward, but balancedand very aromatic.

Vital Stats: 55% 13-year Kentucky (same as above) blended with 37% 15-year and 8% 10-year Kentucky made with corn, rye, and malted barley. 115 Proof (57.5% ABV). $129.99/750mL. Appearance: Apricot and IPA, high viscosity but light on the palate for the proof. REVIEW: SPIRITLESS KENTUCKY 74 NON-ALCOHOLIC SPIRIT Kentucky 74 is just another option that was greatly needed in our world of imbibing. Spiritless claims Kentucky 74 to have all the taste, mouthful and approach of a real whiskey, but without the alcohol bite. The most important thing about this product is WHISKEY REVIEW: LOT NO. 40 CANADIAN WHISKY Conclusion: This is a completely delicious rye that manages to capture the herbal, fruity, and spicy notes of the grain all at once. Lot No. 40 combines a rich, full flavor with a very soft mouth feel and understated alcohol, making it approachable yet satisfying. WHISKEY REVIEW: 2021 SWEETENS COVE TENNESSEE BOURBON Now, the 2021 version is here and we’re curious if it lives up to the hype for which we, ourselves, are partly responsible. The 2021 limited release of Sweetens Cove Tennessee Bourbon is a blend of three Tennessee bourbons, aged 4, 6, and 16 years. As we mentioned, the 2020 offering came from 100 identical barrels barreled on the same date and from one distillery; but the 2021 blends three WHISKEY REVIEWS: BARRELL BOURBON NEW YEAR 2021, BATCH 27 Barrell Batch 27 is a blend of straight bourbon whiskeys distilled and aged using American white oak barrels. It’s a blend of straight bourbon distilled and aged in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana, and a selection of barrels in a range of ages: 5, 6, 8, 9, 23, and 15 years old. The whiskies that make up Barrell’s New Year 2021 hail from WHISKEY REVIEW: WHEEL HORSE BOURBON Tasting Notes: Wheel Horse Bourbon. Vital Stats: 101 proof, 50.5% ABV. Appearance: A darker shade of copper, bordering on brown with orange highlights. In the glass, there were several long legs along the side. WHISKEY REVIEW: OLD TUB BOURBON Un-filtered (only screened to remove wood particles). $21.95 for a 750mL. Appearance: Golden sunflower. Bottle has a nice vintage look. Nose: Smells oddly similar to a fermenting vat – sweet corn and sour mash. Caramel, hay, vanilla and spice. Straight forward, but balancedand very aromatic.

Palate: I find it has a fresh taste of hay and oak with a hint of caramel apple. INDEPENDENTLY OWNED SCOTCH DISTILLERIES J&A Mitchell: The owners of Springbank Distillery (which has three brands: Springbank, Hazelburn, and Longrow) recently acquired the Glengyle distillery, also in Campbelltown, which produces whisky under the Kilkerran brand. Benromach: It’s the only distillery owned by Gordon & MacPhail, a venerable family-owned indie bottler.
