In November 2010, John DiBartolo (musician and songwriter with The Lonely Mountain Band), Ted Nasmith (world-famous painter and Tolkien illustrator), and the Tolkien Professor gathered together via Skype to talk about their work and their different approaches to interpreting HOW TO READ TOLKIEN AND WHY In this lecture, the Tolkien Professor discusses Tolkien’s own thoughts about how stories should be read and why they are important.
