There is currently no direct ferry from Tacoma to Seattle, but going by way of Vashon Island lets you see one of the Puget Sound's stunning islands while driving SCENIC DRIVE: POINT DEFIANCE, GIG HARBOR AND KEY PENINSULA Here, we recommend a stop and a short visit at Penrose Point State Park, a 165-acre marine and camping park on the shores of Puget Sound.
