Since 1982, United Way of Greater Los Angeles has partnered with Southern California Edison and SoCalGas ® to provide utility assistance to their customers facing financial hardship. In the wake of COVID-19, these programs have increased their maximum assistance to offer even more support to those directly affected by the pandemic due to OUR TEAM - UNITED WAY LA She was part of the original team that developed and launched United Way’s annual 5K family run/walk to end homelessness, HomeWalk, and has stewarded its growth and production from a 4,000-person walk in 2007, to one with over 10,000 participants at Grand Park. To date, HomeWalk has raised over $8.5M, mobilized nearly 100,000 Angelenos and ENERGY ASSISTANCE FUND The Energy Assistance Fund (EAF) is committed to providing critical support to those who need it most during trying times. Since EAF started in 1982, Southern California Edison has partnered with the United Way of Greater Los Angeles to provide one-time bill payments of up to $100 for nearly 300,000 qualified Southern Californiahouseholds.

GET HELP - UNITED WAY LA 211 LA is the central source for providing information and referrals for health, human and social services in Los Angeles County. 211’s phone lines are open 24/7 and are answered by trained Community Resource Advisors prepared to offer help with any situation, any time with an updated services database of over 50,000 services. ENERGY AND GAS ASSISTANCE FUNDS PROVIDES UTILITY The Gas Assistance Fund (GAF) program operates annually from February thru May. This year, the fund has been extended through December (or until funds are depleted). The GAF program may be able to provide you with a one-time grant for the amount of the gas bill, not to exceed $200.00.
