MAYOR OF TIRANA | ALBANIA As Mayor of Tirana since 2015, Erion Veliaj has focused on the implementation of child-friendly policies aimed at transforming Tirana into a long-term sustainable city.As part of his vision of giving the city back to its citizens, his administration completely renovated the city’s central square, which was awarded the European Prize for Urban Public Space 2018, and created the Orbital Forest; a two-million tree belt that will serve as a pivotal element in addressing the environmental concerns of the city by 2030.

GOVERNING MAYOR OF OSLO | NORWAY Raymond Johansen is the Governing Mayor of the City of Oslo and has previously been Secretary General of the Labour Party, State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served as Vice Mayor for Transport and Environment in the City of Oslo. He is also responsible for the introduction of climate budgets and Oslo’s Climate Strategy.To make Oslo a zero-emissions city, he promotes a close cooperation with the community, private sector, and civil society and advocates that all growth in transport is to be covered by public transport, walking or bicycling.

Gina Gylver has been the leader at Nature and Youth – Young Friends of the Earth. Since she was 12 years old, Gina has been fighting to make her city Oslo a greener city in several ways: she demonstrated, met politicians, held speeches at conferences, wrote in the papers and participated in a documentary-series on Norwegian television. Currently, Gina is focusing on youth involvement in political processes and Norwegian climate-politics.Gina’s passion for the climate isn’t just a personal matter. It is important for her not only to fight for her own future, but for global climate justice. She points out that climate change doesn’t care neither about borders nor about justice, and that our actions have serious consequences all over the world.

Anita has received several awards, including Best Female Leader in the ICT Industry in Norway 2012, and was, among others, named in “On the Radar of Emerging Thinkers globally #Thinkers50” in 2018
She is also author of "Good Enough for the ‘Bastards’: Courage, Vulnerability and Credibility. Confessions of a Female Leader", donating parts of the book’s income to the #HearMyVoice initiative. For more than a decade, Mikael Colville-Andersen has evangelized about urban change and worked with over 100 cities to help modernise their transport by designing their bicycle infrastructure, his own city being the model for his work.In his TV series ‘The Life-Sized City,’ Mikael explores cities around the world and curates all the amazing things happening in this Age of Urbanism. He is also currently focusing on urban democracy and citizen engagement in international projects using Desire Lines and pop-up urban spaces to highlight the importance of urban change.

MAYOR OF ASKER KOMMUNE | NORWAY Lene Conradi is the Mayor of Asker Kommune, a position she has held since 2007. She is the head of the joint executive council in charge of the ongoing merger between the municipalities Røyken, Hurum, and Asker. The new, larger Asker municipality will "go live" January 1st, 2020. In this process, the municipal planning is based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.“The sustainability goals serve as a constructive framework for holistic and cross-sectoral planning – as well as an ethical framework for the kind of society we want to live in”, says Mayor Conradi.

NORWEGIAN MINISTER OF CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENT | OSLO | NORWAY Ola Elvestuen was appointed Minister of Climate and Environment in January 2018. Prior to that, he was city councillor for Environment and Transportation in Oslo and headed the City Development Committee. He has since 2013 chaired the parliamentary Committee on Energy and Environment.His main priorities include enhancing Norway’s leading role in preserving the world’s rainforests through the Norwegian Climate and Forest Initiative as well as mobilizing other countries and local communities to work towards the Paris Agreement
