Who We Are. URI is a global grassroots interfaith network that cultivates peace and justice by engaging people to bridge religious and cultural differences and work URI KIDS: WORLD RELIGIONS Religion or a spiritual tradition is: a way of explaining a supreme power or absolute power, whether impersonal or personal, nameable or not. these codes of behavior are often written in sacred documents or passed down through oral tradition. worship often includes prayers of thanks, prayers of hopes, prayers of supplication.NYASHA MUKARATIRWA
Nyasha Mukaratirwa is originally from Zimbabwe and currently resides in South Africa. Prior to joining URI, she has worked in the corporate and NGO sectors within Southern Africa. THE WEEKLY SHOT: GIDAN BEGE (HOUSE OF HOPE) ORPHANAGE HOME Atuman Memorial Foundation (a URI member group in Kamazou, Kaduna, Nigeria) is a sponsor for the Gidan Bege (House of Hope) Orphanage Home. Jewish festivals and celebrations center around important events in the history of the Jews. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year festival which usually takes place in September or October. URI Kids was originally developed for the United Religions Initiative in 2002 by Debbie Gibbs and Dana Isaacs, educators from the United States. Debbie, a lifetime Episcopalian, has a deep interest in developing ways for children to learn more about their own religionsand that of others.

INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL DAY CELEBRATION UNAKITA was formed to work with families that need guidance on the autistic spectrum, to encourage adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to manage independently through workshops, and to raise awareness and report on ASD to those who want to know more to integrate with people who have this diagnosis. JUDAISM: BASIC BELIEFS The Ten Commandments, as written in the Torah, are: Worship no other God but me. Do not make images to worship. Do not misuse the name of God. Observe the Sabbath Day (Saturday). Keep it Holy. Honor and respect your father and mother. Do not murder. Do not commit adultery. CHRISTIANITY: BASIC BELIEFS Christians believe that Jesus died for humanity, that God raised him from the dead, and that Jesus will come again at the end of time.
