Raised in the Hell’s Kitchen district of New York City, he attended New York City public schools and later received an appointment to the U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in1983. DISTINGUISHED GRADUATE AWARD Distinguished Graduate Award Program. The Distinguished Graduate Award was established in 1998 to honor graduates who have demonstrated a lifetime commitment to service, personal character and distinguished contributions to our nation. She served 27 years of active duty service in the US Navy and 8 years as a Navy civil servant. Barbette was a Captain in the Supply Corps at the time of her retirement from the military. Posted on 04/16/2020. James Aloysius Sladky M.D., passed away on March 31, 2020 at the age of 91. He was born July 20, 1928 in Racine, son of the late Frank and Rose (Broecker) Sladky. On September 26, 1964 he married Mary Colleen Dardis at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Milwaukee. James is survived by Mary as well as his six children and DISTINGUISHED GRADUATE AWARD Distinguished Graduate Award Program. The Distinguished Graduate Award was established in 1998 to honor graduates who have demonstrated a lifetime commitment to service, personal character and distinguished contributions to our nation. ANOTHER LINK IN THE CHAIN Another Link in the Chain. The Another Link in the Chain program forms bonds and relationships between current midshipmen and members of the 50-year class counterpart throughout the four years on the Yard and beyond. The midshipmen are buoyed and encouraged by the physical presence and moral support of the senior alumni, and members of the 50-year class counterpart enjoy working with the TRIBUTES AND STORIES Fast-forward 18 months. The battalion was in Vietnam for the third time. Our camp was a few miles west of Phu Bai at Gia Le. It was incorporated into the defense perimeter of US NAVAL ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION Inherent in the ideals and mission of our Association are matters of leadership and service to the nation, the Academy and each other. Raised in the Hell’s Kitchen district of New York City, he attended New York City public schools and later received an appointment to the U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in1983.
