Feraday was an OUAA All-Star and Varsity team captain in 1978, 1980 and 1981, Blues Most Valuable Player and the CIAU All-Canadian quarterback in 1980 and 1981, and a UofT Silver T recipient in 1980. In 1982, the Cincinnati Bengals made him the first Canadian university quarterback to be selected in the National Football League draft.Feraday

As a long time head coach of the Varsity Blues tennis program, Nabil Tadros has led the Blues to 15 OUA tennis titles since 1984. An alumnus of the University of Toronto, Tadros has also represented the Blues as an athlete in both basketball (78-81) and tennis (80-81). WILLIAM "BILL" YORZYK (2000) William ‘Bill’ Yorzyk was an athlete, coach and student leader during his University of Toronto career. A member of two championship swim teams (1957-58 and 1958-59), Yorzyk also coached the Varsity Blues to two championships 1959-60 and 1960-61. VARSITY BLUES REMEMBER ANDY HIGGINS The University of Toronto's Varsity Blues community was saddened to learn of the death of Coach Andy Higgins on April 7. Higgins graduated from the School of Physical and Health Education (as the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education was then known) in 1959. He wrote and delivered the first formal coaching education/certification PAUL WILLIAMS (2009) Paul is a three-time CIAU all-Canadian (once at Guelph, twice at Toronto) and was a member of U of T’s CIAU cross country championship team in 1978, as well as the OUAA and CIAU indoor track and field championship team in 1980-81. LeBlanc enjoyed an illustrious four-year playing career with the Carleton Ravens from 2014-18. 1951 FOOTBALL TEAM (2011) The 1951 Varsity Blues football team was no stranger to success. U of T had an undefeated record of 8-0-1 on the year, outscoring their opponents 152-60 before claiming the program’s 18th Yates Cup trophy. One of only seven Blues football teams to go undefeated during the regular season, the team garnered an impressive eleven all-starsnods.

Full Results. U of T won gold and silver in the coxswain 1,000 meter event with Zoe Thompson leading the field in a time of 3:56.4, followed by Katy Myler coming in at 4:00.9. TRACK & FIELD SHINES SOUTH OF THE BORDER First-year standout Elizabeth Martin placed second in the women's 60m dash in 7.56 seconds, while Onome Gbinje was seventh in 7.72. Katherine Marshall also placed second in the 3000m in 9:58.15. James Kanu and Cameron Reyes finished 2-3 in the men's 200m dash in 22.62 and 22.65 seconds, respectively. 1951 FOOTBALL TEAM (2011) The 1951 Varsity Blues football team was no stranger to success. U of T had an undefeated record of 8-0-1 on the year, outscoring their opponents 152-60 before claiming the program’s 18th Yates Cup trophy. One of only seven Blues football teams to go undefeated during the regular season, the team garnered an impressive eleven all-starsnods.
