As a nonprofit that’s Christian based with its own chapel on property there’s no surprise that we have a full-time Pastor that’s involved in providing religious support, counseling and is an advisor in the recovery services we offer here at the Mission. 6 WAYS TO HONOR SOLDIERS ON MEMORIAL DAY For many people, Memorial Day signals the start of summer, a day of family barbeques, and a day off from school or work. However, the true meaning of pausing on the last Monday of May each year, is to honor American soldiers that made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and all those lucky enough to call America home. BRANDON’S JOURNEY FROM CHAOS TO COOK April 5th, 2018. I grew up in Las Vegas in a family where it was normal to use drugs and alcohol as a family. By age 12, I was drinking, using cocaine and acid, and by age 14 or 15, I was a full-blown addict. Going to church with my Mom was part of my childhood, but as drugs took over my life, I quit going. Without the proper amount of fluids, a RECOVERY – LAS VEGAS RESCUE MISSION The Las Vegas Rescue Mission Recovery Program is a Christian-based, 6-12 month, residential drug and alcohol treatment program for both men and women, which includes a structured living component and work therapy.Our program is staffed by state licensed clinicians and interns that offer clinical assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, case management and discharge planning.
