REGISTRY SYSTEM
The Verra Registry was launched in April 2020 and is the cornerstone for the implementation of Verra’s standards and programs. It facilitates the transparent listing of information on certified projects, issued and retired units, and enables the trading of units. The Verra Registry also ensures the uniqueness of projects and creditsin the system.
METHODOLOGIES
Methodologies. Methodologies set out detailed procedures for quantifying the real greenhouse gas (GHG) benefits of a project and provide guidance to help project developers determine project boundaries, set baselines, assess additionality and ultimately quantify the GHG emissions that were reduced or removed. Any methodology developed under the CCB STANDARDS CHECKLIST The following checklist shows all twenty CCB Standards Third Edition criteria, consisting of seventeen required criteria and three optional Gold Level criteria. To earn CCB Standards approval, projects must satisfy all seventeen required criteria. Projects that generate exceptional benefits for climate change adaptation, or forsmallholders and
VERIFIED CARBON UNITS (VCUS) Under the VCS Program, projects are issued unique carbon credits known as Verified Carbon Units or VCUs. Each VCU represents a reduction or removal of one tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO 2 e) achieved by a project. VCUs are characterized by a number of quality assurance principles which are confirmed through the project validation and verification process.VCS STANDARD

VERIFIED CARBON STANDARD The VCS Program is the world’s most widely used voluntary GHG program. Nearly 1,700 certified VCS projects have collectively reduced or removed more than 630 million tonnes of carbon and other GHG emissions from the atmosphere. Individuals and corporations around the world are recognizing the importance of reducing their GHG emissions. SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT VERIFIED IMPACT STANDARD The SD VISta Program. The Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta) is a flexible framework for assessing and reporting on the sustainable development benefits of project-based activities, helping unlock new sources of finance to support and scale up high-impact efforts. PLASTIC WASTE REDUCTION STANDARD The Plastic Waste Reduction Program (Plastic Program) enables robust impact assessment of new or scaled-up waste collection and recycling projects. More than 350 million tonnes of plastic are being used every year, and just a fraction of this is being recycled. Plastic waste has become a critical concern to a number of companies and consumers.
