Over the years CCT has developed strong working partnerships with expert heritage contractors and conservators, those whose workforce are knowledgeable and skilled to repair our wonderful ST GEORGE'S CHURCH, SHIMPLING, NORFOLK A church with perfect proportions. Away from the village, down a track through fields, St George's has a lovely view towards a nearby wood. With its Norman round tower, octagonal upper stage and a little spire added in 1863, Shimpling is essentially a beautifully proportioned building, sympathetically restored by E C Lee between 1867-1874. ST PETER & ST PAUL'S CHURCH, ALBURY, SURREY An ancient Saxon church in a lovely parkland setting. This charming, ancient church, dating from Saxon and Norman times, is a flint-walled gem, set amongst the trees of beautiful Albury Park above the gently running River Tilling. ST MARY'S CHURCH, EDLESBOROUGH, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE St Mary's Church, Edlesborough, Buckinghamshire. Open daily. Over the years CCT has developed strong working partnerships with expert heritage contractors and conservators, those whose workforce are knowledgeable and skilled to repair our wonderful BORBACH CHANTRY, WEST DEAN, WILTSHIRE Striking memorials grace this fascinating rural chapel - which is all that remains of a fourteenth-century church. The earliest, a wall memorial from the 1620s, shows a kneeling John Evelyn I and his wife wearing grand Stuart fashions, with their 11 children in a line below. Perhaps the most imposing memorial is Robert Pierrepoint's - an angel ST MARY'S CHURCH, LEAD, NORTH YORKSHIRE The Ramblers' Church. Since being rescued by a group of walkers in 1931, St Mary's has been known as the Ramblers' Church. The repairs made then are recorded on the back of the church door. ALL SAINTS' CHURCH, LEICESTER, LEICESTERSHIRE A refuge in a busy city. This large attractive church, with its quiet, peaceful churchyard, is a refuge from busy Leicester. It is one of five surviving from the medieval town, with a tower intriguingly sited at its north-east corner. ST GEORGE'S CHURCH, SHIMPLING, NORFOLK A church with perfect proportions. WILTSHIRE: WALKING THE WYLYE VALLEY The lovely churchyard surrounding the picturesque arches is the perfect place to lay a picnic blanket and while away an hour in the Wylye valley before exploring the countryside on foot. Start point: St Leonard’s Old Church, Sutton Veny (Grid ref: ST908415) Distance: 8km (5mi) Route type: circular. Ease: Easy – one steep ascent anddescent

Over the years CCT has developed strong working partnerships with expert heritage contractors and conservators, those whose workforce are knowledgeable and skilled to repair our wonderful BORBACH CHANTRY, WEST DEAN, WILTSHIRE Striking memorials grace this fascinating rural chapel - which is all that remains of a fourteenth-century church. The earliest, a wall memorial from the 1620s, shows a kneeling John Evelyn I and his wife wearing grand Stuart fashions, with their 11 children in a line below. Perhaps the most imposing memorial is Robert Pierrepoint's - an angel ST CUTHBERT'S CHURCH, HOLME LACY, HEREFORDSHIRE Angels, a demon and knights in shining armour. In a pretty setting on a bend in the River Wye, looking across to the Herefordshire hills, this delightful church is ST CUTHBERT OLD CHANCEL, OBORNE, DORSET On the busy A30 with very little parking apart from an adjacent field. Grass path runs from the road between the road and the churchyard and then doubles back through an iron gate into the churchyard and thenceto the south door.
