The virtual Wall of Faces features a page dedicated to honoring and remembering every person whose name is inscribed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. In an effort to further preserve the legacy of those who sacrificed all in Vietnam, VVMF is committed to finding a photo to go with each of the more than 58,000 names onThe Wall.
THE NAMES - VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL FUND The last 18 names listed on the bottom of Panel 1, West, also at the apex, are from May 15, 1975. These names are followed by the inscription: Our nation honors the courage, sacrifice and devotion to duty and country of its Vietnam veterans. Hal Kushner spent 5 ½ years as a prisoner of war. During the Vietnam War, POW/MIA bracelets were created and distributed to bring awareness to those service members whose remains were unaccounted for. When Miguel arrived in Vietnam 10 August 1971, he was assigned to B Company, 1st Battalion, 46th Infantry, 19th Infantry Brigade, Americal Division, USARV. B Company was on a patrol, 4 kilometers west of Dien Ban, when Miguel detonated a hostile boobytrap.
