Owen had a comprehensive vision for revolutionary reform to address the endemic social ills that accompanied the capitalism of his era. If you want to find out how social investors have changed their approach and focus as a result of the covid-19 pandemic, what is available and how it can be used to help rebuild social businesses and the economy here in Wales, this is the event for you. 7. DIGITAL SKILLS & TRAINING Digital Inclusion Training. This overview from Digital Communities Wales shows how their digital inclusion training can be used to help frontline staff and volunteers become more digitally confident. Training is free, bespoke and offered as a series or one off session. 2. Volunteers gain digital skills to spread the message of RainbowBiz. SUPPORTING CARE COMMISSIONERS AND PROCURERS TO PROMOTE Supporting Care Commissioners and Procurers to promote social value models Co-produced by the Wales Co-operative Centre and Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative, this report offers new guidance and recommendations for the commissioners of social care who are exploring how they can promote social value models of delivery. COMMUNITY SHARES WALES RESILIENCE PROJECT: ADVICE & SUPPORT Community shares are an ideal way for communities to invest in businesses serving a community purpose. Our team is enthusiastic about community shares and enjoy working with people across Wales to raise the capital they need to achieve a shared vision. If you need support, or would like to know more, please get in touch. HEDGEHOG HOUSING CO-OP IS A GRAND DESIGN The group (now ten households) became known as The Hedgehog Housing Co-op. None of the members had any experience of building houses. Some already had part time jobs, others were single parents. Regardless of this, each household committed to 30 hours unpaid work per week on site. TECH FEST FOR SOCIAL GOOD (14 Tech Fest for Social Good (14 – 18 June 2021) The Wales Co-operative Centre is hosting a week long virtual festival to celebrate and showcase the benefits of digital technology for social good. 7.6.3. COHOUSING COMMUNITIES Overview. Cohousing communities are a form of housing co‑operative that are designed to be ‘intentional communities’ ( information about intentional communities ). Each household has a self-contained, personal and private home but co-operative members come together to manage their community, share activities and eat together.
