2021 WNBA Award Ceremony held virtually June 6: register now! WNBA membership ends May 31, so renew or join today! 2021 WNBA Award Goes to Hannah Oliver Depp Congrats to the 2020 WNBA Writing Contest Winners! In New York City on October 29, 1917, two days after the large women’s suffrage march on Fifth Avenue, a group of female booksellers met for the first time. Excluded from joining the all-male bookseller’s organizations and spurred by the fight for women’s right to vote, they banded together to fight for equality for women. The Women’s National Book Association (WNBA) was formed. One hundred and two years later, we are still fighting. When women work together, we can create positive changes in the world. Join us as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment. -------------------------WNBA EVENTS
