About WOAR WOARRIORS, Together We End Sexual Violence. WOAR is a non-profit organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sexual violence thrives in a society rooted in systemic oppression. About WOAR WOARRIORS, Together We End Sexual Violence. WOAR is a non-profit organization in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sexual violence thrives in a society rooted in systemic oppression. EDUCATION AND AWARENESS PROGRAMS Education and Outreach Awareness Programs Education Awareness Programs are single-session workshops and training which cover prevention topics and provide an opportunity for participants to learn prevention strategies. Workshops are available for schools, colleges/universities/technical institutes, parents, community agencies and professionals. Topic Areas include DIRECT AND VICTIM SERVICES Direct and Victim Services WOAR works with survivors and their loved ones to support healing, understanding, and thriving. WOAR provides FREE trauma informed therapy services to children and adults who have experienced sexual violence. It does not matter if the sexual trauma occurred yesterday or 40 years ago. Teen WOARRIOR Youth Leadership Advisory Council Teen WOARRIOR is WOAR’s Youth Leadership Advisory Council which consists of a group of motivated and driven teens that are committed to ending sexual violence in the city of Philadelphia. Teen WOARRIOR is youth-focused and youth-led group who works together to shift social norms OPEN DROP-IN THERAPEUTIC GROUPS Psycho-educational Groups Due to COVID-19, this group now meets via Zoom. Special Projects SAFE BARS Philly SAFE BARS is part of WOAR’s Safer Philadelphia initiative. Its aim is to equip bars and other alcohol-serving establishments with strategies to prevent sexual harassment and alcohol-facilitated sexual violence.
