OUR HISTORY
The WFRtDS is established after three international meetings of existing national right-to-die societies. At the first meeting t he attendees formulated the Tokyo Declaration. At the third meeting, t he World Federation of Right to Die Societies was founded. In 2018, Statutes have been adapted. THE CASE AGAINST VOLUNTARY EUTHANASIA Adapted from VES --The Voluntary Euthanasia Society of England and WalesAdapted from the Voluntary Euthanasia Society (England & Wales) GERMAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT: GERMAN BAN ON ASSISTED On Wednesday February 26, t he Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht) in Karlsruhe declared the German ban on assisted suicide (that exists since 2015) unconstitutional.This is a great victory for the people who brought this ban to court, among others: seriously ill patients and doctors..
