The mobile team of vets and students attended anything from 30-120 donkeys to 20-40 small and large ruminants, (such as sheep and cows) a day, as well as vaccinated the herders’ dogs against rabies, to improve the wellbeing of the animals, and support the communities who rely on them. The organisation was founded in 2002 with the aim to promote a culture in Romania where people recognise the importance of animal welfare in their communities and where the inhumane killing of stray dogs stops. BOTSWANA NEUTERING & OUTREACH PROJECT 2020 // WVS Description. Maun Animal Welfare Society (MAWS) are a small group of compassionate volunteers who came together to help the local animal population in Maun, Botswana. The main objectives of the society are to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals, provide sanctuary for lost or stray animals and develop the welfare of animals inBotswana.

The Animal hospital is a low cost out-patient treatment centre offering preventative health care including: vaccinations, worming and treatments for mange, fleas, ticks, wounds, infections, ear mites and other diseases. They also offer affordable spay and neuter surgeries. CAH is staffed by volunteer vets/vet nurses, and a full timeveterinary
SIYAFUNDA CONSERVATION // WVS The Siyafunda volunteer house accommodates a maximum of 10 volunteers in five cosy rooms which has two people shared sleeping arrangements. Each room has a washbasin and an en suite bathroom, which is shared with the adjoining room, consisting of a shower with hot running water provided by eco-friendly solar heaters and flushing toilets. LA SENDA VERDE // WVS Vicky and Marcelo Ossio co-founded La Senda Verde in 2003. They reside at LSV, and have personally provided the majority of funding which LSV has received to date. LSV Animal Refuge started its operations with a small number of animals that were voluntarily handed over to therefuge.

The Animal hospital is a low cost out-patient treatment centre offering preventative health care including: vaccinations, worming and treatments for mange, fleas, ticks, wounds, infections, ear mites and other diseases. SIYAFUNDA CONSERVATION // WVS The Siyafunda volunteer house accommodates a maximum of 10 volunteers in five cosy rooms which has two people shared sleeping arrangements. Each room has a washbasin and an en suite bathroom, which is shared with the adjoining room, consisting of a shower with hot running water provided by eco-friendly solar heaters and flushing toilets. LA SENDA VERDE // WVS Vicky and Marcelo Ossio co-founded La Senda Verde in 2003. They reside at LSV, and have personally provided the majority of funding which LSV has received to date. LSV Animal Refuge started its operations with a small number of animals that were voluntarily handed over to therefuge.

VOLUNTEER AT WVS CARE FOR DOGS THAILAND // WVS The WVS Care for Dogs shelter asks for a minimum 3-day commitment from visiting volunteers. Orientations are held every Wednesday at 10:00am. During your orientation, you will be provided an in-depth look at the various ways you can help on-site and more specific instructions will be provided about individual duties.
