SNOWMOBILE TOUR ON VATNAJÖKULL Yes, we do. Langjökull Ice Cave is a magical experience, the tour has no minimum age and is a wonderful option for the whole family. Whale Watching with our partner company Elding has been a favourite with families traveling with young children, these guys have a great success rate in seeing whales (upwards of 98% in the summertime).. Another option would be the Landmannalaugar Safari on this NÁMASKARÐ GEOTHERMAL AREA Námaskarð is a narrow geothermal pass between the mountains Námafjall and Dalfjall in North East Iceland. The Ring Road, or Route 1, takes you directly through Namaskard hot springs and many other curious attractions. ACTIVE VOLCANO HIKE TO GELDINGADALUR After thousands of earthquakes over the span of 3 weeks originating in the Reykjanes Peninsula, the lava finally found its way through earth crust on the evening of March 19 th close to Fagradalsfjall, in a valley named Geldingadalir. The eruption is confined to this valley, which is surrounded by hills and higher ground, preventing the lava from flowing to nearby towns or cities. ICELAND'S BEST VOLCANO TOURS (TOP 6) Arctic Adventures’ selection of volcano tours are as varied as the volcanoes themselves. With so much to choose from, it can be difficult to decide on which tours to go on. We’re here to help though, with five of the best volcano tours that Iceland has to offer, as chosen by our team of professional Arctic Adventurers! GLAUMBÆR MUSEUM IN NORTH ICELAND Turf buildings became the main architectural style in Iceland and remained so until the 20th century. At Glaumbær turf farm museum, you’ll learn why the roof slope was so critical for the whole building construction and what Icelanders used to cover windows whenthere was no glass.
JÖKULSARLON GLACIER LAGOON KAYAKING TOUR Kayaking on Jökulsarlon Glacier Lagoon is a great way to experience the famous Vatnajökull National Park. Our Jökulsarlon kayak tour will give you a panoramic and unforgettable view of the stunning landscape surrounding the lagoon. SIGÖLDUGLJÚFUR CANYON Sigöldugljúfur is a beautiful gorge that runs through the Highlands. Though the canyon is less known than other landmarks, Sigöldugljúfur offers visitors an unparalleled escape into nature. COVID-19 TESTING AT ICELAND AIRPORT Starting on May 1st Iceland has adopted new border safety regulations that follow the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control color-coding system. Under this system, countries will be assigned colors based on their incidence of infection and proportion of positive samples, to indicate their risk.ARCTIC ADVENTURES

It’s common for locals and visitors to combine hiking with a dip in the lovely warm waters. Reykjadalur, also known as “the hot spring valley”, is a marvel for the senses: Hike or cycle your way through this lush, green valley; and then take breaks in the hot streams and springs that are abundant in the area. There are also numerously heated, outdoor swimming pools in Iceland.
SIGÖLDUGLJÚFUR CANYON The surrounding area of the Sigoldugljufur Canyon has been reshaped by the project of the Sigalda Hydroelectric Power Station. After the Sigalda Dam was built, the water level in the Tungnaá River – which runs through the canyon – reduced significantly. However, Sigoldugljufur, with its set of small waterfalls, continued toenchant.

GUIDE TO TOILETS IN ICELAND Toilets of some sorts were first seen in history books and drawing from 2800 BC (Before Christ, if you were wondering). These wonderful things made it to Iceland over 100 years ago and we have loved them ever since, so much that we actually prefer toilets for doing our number 1s and 2s rather than the great outdoors. ICELANDIC HOT SPRING & GEOTHERMAL POOL ETIQUETTE Take a dip in one of Iceland's natural hot springs or geothermal pools, which are found throughout the country. ABOUT US
Arctic Adventures is the biggest adventure tour operator in Iceland. Our primary goal is to utilize our passions and strengths to bring you an incredible experience and a long-lasting impression of our beloved country. We operate many of our tours from the headquarters in Reykjavik but also have operation locations in Skaftafell, Akureyri, Drumbó and Skagafjörður. Our roots lie back to the first rafting tour on the Hvítá river in 1983. We wanted to give others the same adventure we experienced and became the first adventure companyfounded in Iceland.
Most of the tours presented on our website are OUR TRIPS operated by our ambitious team, but we make a few exceptions and cooperate with tour operators that meet the high standards we have set for ourselves. Our quality equipment and certified crew are the core ingredients that make up a guaranteed recipe for an adventure of a lifetime. Our guides are highly trained world travelers and natural born leaders, assuring complete safety throughout every trip. As avid explorers and outdoor enthusiasts, we prioritize an extremely safe environment to all of our customers at all times. Arctic Adventures is a certified participant in VAKINN, the official quality and environmental system in Icelandic tourism run by the Icelandic Tourist Board. Over time, our company has expanded and evolved, offering vast improvements and opportunities for our customers to get a real authentic taste of Iceland. Our foundation lies in our most popular day tours; River Rafting, Snorkeling, Glacier Hiking, Super Jeep tours, Sea Kayaking, Diving, Snowmobiling, Hiking, Hot Spring Hunts, Ice climbing and many more.Read More
