The Wyss Scholars Program supports the graduate-level education of a new generation of leaders in western land conservation. Wyss Scholars learn the latest in conservation law and policy and apply that knowledge in careers at land management agencies and nonprofit conservation groups.COMMUNITIES
The Wyss Foundation’s work to expand economic opportunity and empower communities includes: Expanding economic opportunity and reducing inequality, such as by promoting fair lending practices and policies that help families save and build wealth. Helping build a society where women are empowered and have equal opportunities. LAND — WYSS FOUNDATION Since its establishment in 1998, the Wyss Foundation has helped local communities, land trusts and non-profit partners permanently protect more than 20 million acres of land in the American West and more than 5 million acres internationally.These lands are now conserved in perpetuity for current and future generations to enjoy and explore. In 2010, Mr. Wyss’ contributions enabled the SCHOLARS — WYSS FOUNDATION The Wyss Scholars Program covers up to half of the tuition and expenses of getting a Masters degree or a third of the tuition and expenses of getting a Law degree. Half of the award is made during the Masters or Law Program, and the remainder is available for Scholars who enter qualifying employment. Scholars are also awarded up to$5,000 to
