ABOUT ICAD – ICAD
About ICAD. ICAD is a forum for presenting research on the use of sound to display data, monitor systems, and provide enhanced user interfaces for computers and virtual reality systems. It is unique in its singular focus on auditory displays and the array of perception, technology, and application areas that this encompasses. EXAMPLES OF AUDITORY DISPLAYS ICAD 2021, VIRTUALLY, JUNE 25-28 The Conference will be held virtually, June 25-28. In addition to being part of the resonating chamber in a musical instrument, the term sounding board is also a metaphor for a channel through which ideas are discussed and disseminated. ICAD, established in 1992 has, through its 25 conference meetings, shared over 1,150 papers with the auditory THINK TANK - ICAD 2021 The ICAD 2021 Student ThinkTank will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021—the day before the main virtual conference begins. The ThinkTank will be a virtual full day meeting for graduate and advanced undergraduate students working on projects in auditory display and sonification.
