You can also introduce your child to coloring with crayons. Simple puzzles with large knobs are excellent for NUMBERS ACTIVITIES FOR PRESCHOOLERS Fun and Easy Number Activities. Learning numbers is an essential of early childhood education. The following number activities for toddlers to preschoolers will provide fun and hands-on ways of teaching your child numbers and one-to-one correspondence. EASY TIE DYE ART WITH BABY WIPES Paper towels. 1. Pinch the center of the baby wipe and hold in your hand. 2. Twist. 3. Carefully attach a few rubber bands and have your child use a marker to color the sections of the baby wipe. The more that the marker gets into the folds, the more vibrant the color willbe.
5 WAYS TO MAKE HANDWRITING FUN Here are 5 Ways to Make Handwriting Fun: 1. Don’t write. Yes, you read that right. It might seem counterintuitive, but one effective way to improve your child’s handwriting doesn’t involve writing at all! A child’s handwriting abilities are a direct result of the fine motor control in his/her hands. THE "WHY DO WE NEED SUNSCREEN 1. Fold a piece of black (or dark blue) construction paper in half. 2. Put a VERY SMALL dab of sunscreen on one side of the paper. This is where we messed upwe put WAY too much sunscreen on. 3. Let your child smear the sunscreen over ONE side of the paper (again, we messed up and Big Brother got it on both sides). 4. EASY APPLE CRISP (7-MINUTE PREP TIME) 1/4 tsp. baking soda. 1 teaspoon cinnamon (unless your pie filling already has cinnamon in it, then omit) How To Make Easy Apple Crisp With Pie Filling: 1. Grease your pan (I used 8×8) and then dump both cans of apples in. 2. Melt 3/4 cup of butter (1 1/2 sticks). 3. HOMEMADE AFTERBITE (ANTI-ITCH SALVE FOR MOSQUITO BITES) 1. Mix baking soda and water until it is the preferred consistency. I used 5 tablespoons of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of water. 2. Add a few drops of tea tree oil to the mixture (I used 1/8 teaspoon and it is a little bit too strong). Store in a closed container. 3. Here’s what you’ll need: a pizza box, aluminum foil, box cutter (or knife), permanent marker, ruler, Elmer’s glue, plastic cling wrap, black construction paper, and MAKE YOUR OWN OCEAN ZONES IN A JAR You’ll pour 3/4 cup of each liquid into your glass jar for each ocean layer (or less for a smaller jar). 1. Add some black food coloring to 3/4 cup of corn syrup and pour into the bottom of your glass jar. 2. Mix blue food coloring into 3/4 cup of dish soap. SHAVING CREAM FIREWORKS When all the fireworks are done, lay the paper on the shaving cream and pat very gently to make a print. Let it set a minute and you might see the paint soaking into the paper from the other side. Gently peel the paper off of the shaving cream. Use a clean side of your stiff paper or cardboard to scrape off the excess shaving cream from thepaper.
