ICMAB participates in the LiOn-HD project to improve Lithium Ion Batteries. ICMAB participates in a project that wants to significantly improve the energy density, cost and sustainability of lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. ICMAB - THERMAL ANALYSIS LABORATORY It is used for monitoring chemical reactions, thermal stabilities, solvent evaporation and reduction and oxidation of materials under different gases among other studies. The sensitivity of the balance is 0.07 micrograms. The furnace can operate from room temperature to1400oC.

After his PhD, he did a postdoc at The Johns Hopkins University (USA) working on molecular electronics. ICMAB - CRIVILLERS CLUSELLA, NÚRIA Núria Crivillers studied Chemistry at the Autonomus University of Barcelona and she did her PhD at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC). The PhD Thesis was entitled "UNDERSTANDING THE TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE DEPENDENCE OF THE OPTOELECTRONIC AND STRUCTURAL PROPERTIES OF FAXMA1-XPBI3 PEROVSKITE SOLID SOLUTIONS" AND WAS SUPERVISED BY Alejandro Goñi, Mariano Campoy-Quiles,and M. BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE BACTERIAL NANOCELLULOSE OCULAR BANDAGES FOR CORNEAL REGENERATION FEATURED IN R+D CSIC22 April 2020
First results of bacterial nanocellulose ocular bandages for innovative ophthalmic treatment have been published at _Biomaterials Science. _The bacterial nanocellulose, which is more affordable and easier to maintain than current treatments for corneal repair, will be impregnated with growth factors to accelerate corneal regeneration. The research is developed by the Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites Groups (NN) in close collaboration with the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre in Barcelona, which supports this project from a clinicalperspective.

On 26 March 2020, ICMAB researcher Nora Ventosa, from the Molecular Nanoscience and Organic Materials (NANOMOL) group, was interviewed in the radio show “_La Nit dels Ignorants 3.0_”, broadcasted in _Catalunya Ràdio_. “_La Nit dels Ignorants 3.0_” is a night time show that focuses on knowledge and company, both asking and answering public interest questions. On 2 April 2020, ICMAB researcher Judit Morlà, from the Molecular Nanoscience and Organic Materials (NANOMOL) group, had her first appearance in “_Som-hi_”. Her section aired on tac12, a TV channel that can be tuned in from any point in the Tarragonès and is also available online. “_Som-hi_” is a television magazine that offers local news and information as well as some light educative sections.Jobs
