* April 1 - Opening Day * May 8-10 - _Spring in the Country_ Open House I'm sure you're getting lots of emails and notices from your favorite businesses regarding the COVID-19 virus and how it is impacting them. We've held off as long as possible, but with our intended opening date of April 1st just days away, we feel it is time to address the issue. We feel it is our responsibility to do our part to protect not only our health, but also the health of our faithful customers, so we have decided to postpone our opening day. We'll tentatively plan to open for the season Tuesday, April 14, but that could change depending on what plays out over the next two weeks. We will take one week at a time, with regards to our scheduled workshops. We will contact all registrants the week leading up to each workshop. In the event that we are unable to hold our workshops, we have several options... We can hold on to the registration fee and reschedule once it is safeto do so.
We can convert the cost of the workshop to a gift certificate that can be used in the future for anything. Of course, we can also issue a refund. This decision did not come easily. Welcoming you back after a long winter is something we look forward to very much! The reality of the nursery business is that the bulk of our sales occur during the months of April-June, and being closed at any point during that time frame is not a decision that comes easily. We are considering a few options that would help you scratch your spring itch, while helping us with cash flow. Be watching for details. In that regard, if you have registered for a workshop and we are not able to have it, we would be grateful if you would consider options one or two above, if possible. Mail order customers will not see much change. Once the plants are ready and the weather allows, we will be shipping orders, as usual. Thank you to everyone who has placed an order and who plans to do so. This really helps fill the cash flow void, until we can open. We are still working here daily to be ready for the day we can safely welcome you back. We hope that day is sooner, rather than later! As plant lovers, you are well aware of the physical and mental health benefits plants and gardening brings. What better time to embrace that than now, when we are supposed to distance ourselves from each other. We'll get through this! Be safe!Josh & Sue
