LOTS AND LOTS OF SIGNINGS: JOSEP GOMBAU, IAIN HUME, GERSON This is probably why the contract length is of only one year with an option of one-year extension. It’s likely that Hume asked for two years while the club only wanted to give one. 1 + 1 is a decent compromise for both parties. PREVIEW: GOA TO ENSURE QUALIFICATION AGAINST Let me explain. ARMCHAIR SCOUTING: WHO IS GREGORY NELSON? Gregory Nelson is the first unknown (relatively speaking) I’ll be scouting on this blog from my armchair. It is a comfortable armchair. In fact, it is so comfortable that I get super scouting powers from it. That is why the all the great scouts of the world need to see players in real life while MUMBAI CITY FC’S LAST THREE SIGNINGS: MARKO KLISURA I like all the signings that Mumbai City FC have made till now. Alessandro Nesta can be considered to be the one man that made a drab position in football artistic and stylish. Defenders have never been revered the way strikers have been but while Alessandro Nesta was at his peak, there were plenty of kids who wanted to become centraldefenders.

ISL FIXTURES
This page contains the latest ISL fixtures and results to make it easy for football fans to follow the Indian Super League. ISL BLOG - PAGE 2 OF 35 - INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE BLOG Things are heating up with player transfers in the Indian Super League and it seems as if everyone is feeling that heat including club brass. The transfer of Mirabaje (we’ll talk about it later) to Mumbai City FC seems to have turned the Delhi Dynamos FC Director Rohan Sharma green with jealousy as he criticised the attacker’s fitness levelsvia a tweet.
MATCH REPORT ARCHIVES Jamshedpur FC’s Attacking Woes Continue; Chennaiyin FC Show How to Kill Off OpponentsAgain. I like technical games but let me be honest. During the festive season, you don’t really want to see technicalgames.
NORTHEAST UNITED FC VS. KERALA BLASTERS FC: KBFC'S MASTER Despite being put under insane amounts of pressure, Kerala Blasters FC doubled their lead in the 21 st minute. It was a simple goal that came through Lobo. Lobo broke the Northeast United FC offside trap well and his excellence was met with Josu’s excellence in the way of a lofted ball. Lobo took the ball down well and finished under the WORLD CUP SHOCKS; HABAS THE HENCHMAN; “NONSENSE” TROPHY If Argentina’s exit was a shock, Spain’s was electrocution. They dominated Russia through and through in that game. Such was this domination that Spain ended the game with 9 shots on target to Russia’s 1, 79% possession, and more than 1100 passes to Russia’s290.
ICELANDIC YOGA AND THE ISL’S FOCUS ON STABILITY The FIFA World Cup is in full swing. Are you watching? I’m trying to watch. The late-night matches don’t work for me. The rest I try. I saw Mexico beat Germany and what smashing football they played to do it too. Swashbuckling performance, I say laddie! Then, there was the mighty Vikings taking down Argentina. KERALA BLASTERS FIND THEIR SHOOTING BOOTS AGAINST The second round of the Indian Super League begins today. Of the four teams, each of which has its own strengths and weaknesses, we see the team which came 1 st and 4 th.. That’s right folks it’s an old fashioned attack vs. defence affair as the whole of FC PUNE CITY’S LAST TWO SIGNINGS: JONATHAN VILA & MATTHEW So FC Pune City finished their transfer window with two last signings in the form of Matthew Mills and Jonathan Vila. Both of them, I feel, will end up in the first eleven as both are big names in the context of the Indian Super League. ARMCHAIR SCOUTING: WHO IS WES BROWN? This quote from Sir Alex Ferguson, probably the best manager in Europe in history, sums up Wes Brown best: “When Wes Brown is fit, he is the best natural defender in the country.” KERALA BLASTERS FC VS. CHENNAIYIN FC REVIEW KBFC Strike Back Within 15 Seconds into the 2nd Half. Within 15 seconds of the second half, Kerala Blasters FC were level. The goal was founded on a peach of a cross from the KBFC left flank. The cross was orgasmic. The ball came in fast, curling and perfectly placed from Saumik Dey (what a selection by Morgan!). MUMBAI CITY FC’S LAST THREE SIGNINGS: MARKO KLISURA, RAFAEL BASTOS,PAULO MACHADO
By Mr ISLBlog in ISL Transfers ____ September7, 2018
I like all the signings that Mumbai City FC have made till now. They’ve shown some real ambition and gotten some really great players. Now the trick will be to get them all to play cohesively. While I liked last season’s Lucian Goian (he’s a stats monster) and the recently signed Matias Mirabaje, I am very much impressed with their three most recent signings. Why do I like Klisura, Bastos, and Machado? Let me explain. Continue reading DELHI DYNAMOS FC FINAL 3 SIGNINGS: MARTI CRESPI PASCUAL, GIANNI ZUIVERLOON, ADRIA CARMONA By Mr ISLBlog in ISL Transfers ____ September6, 2018
On the transfer deadline day, Delhi Dynamos FC may have struck gold not once but twice. Two of their last three foreign signings have the potential to be real star players. Gianni Zuiverloon is an excellent Dutch defender who will be an automatic first name on the team sheet for Josep Gombau. At the end other end of the pitch, they will quickly come to rely on the creative attributes of Adria Carmona who is a livewire of a player on the wings. Continue reading FC PUNE CITY’S LAST TWO SIGNINGS: JONATHAN VILA & MATTHEW MILLS By Mr ISLBlog in ISL Transfers ____ September5, 2018
So FC Pune City finished their transfer window with two last signings in the form of Matthew Mills and Jonathan Vila. Both of them, I feel, will end up in the first eleven as both are big names in the context of the Indian Super League. Let’s see what these two will bring to the table, shall we? Continue reading NORTHEAST UNITED FC’S SIGNING SPREE: BARTHOLOMEW OGBECHE, JUAN CRUZ MASCIA, JOSE LEUDO, AUGUSTINE OKRAH By Mr ISLBlog in ISL Transfers ____ September4, 2018
Like last season NorthEast United FC have been late in making transfer moves this season. Last season, they announced all their deals together. Even though they’ve left it all very late, they’re at least not announcing everything together. I, however, decided to club things anyway. After all, someone needs to keep the Highlander tradition going. They’ve recently signed Bartholomew Ogbeche, Juan Cruz Mascia, Jose Leudo (not snakes and ladders), and Augustine Okrah, that’s a Nigerian, an Uruguayan, a Colombian, and a Ghanaian. Those are the players I’ll be looking at today. Continue reading__
