Our research programs follow objectives, questions, and themes consistent with the Institute's mission and history, and are led by a permanent fellow or researchdirector.
COVID-19: HOW CAN WE DEMOCRATIZE VACCINE ACCESS? Covid-19 vaccines have been developed in record time and are being distributed around the world. But issues like vaccine hesitancy, slow production and unequal access between as well as within countries are inhibiting the global vaccination progress needed to combat thepandemic.
MISSION AND VISION
The Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) is an institute of advanced studies in the humanities and social sciences. Founded as a place of encounter in 1982 by a young Polish philosopher and two German colleagues in neutral Austria its initial mission was to create a meeting place for dissenting thinkers of Eastern Europe and prominent scholars from the West. PROGRAMS / FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS The following programs award fellowships through open competition, for a duration of up to six months. For each program, applicants are selected by a decentralized jury of experts.PAST PROGRAMS
