HOW TO PAINT PATIO FURNITURE WITH CHALK PAINT® The fabulous folks over at Annie Sloan and Unfolded asked me to share their current #MadeItMyOwn contest and giveaway by tackling a Chalk Paint® project of my own.. My parents have had this wrought iron patio set for a thousand years and boy, was it was hurtin’. This little set had certainly seen better days (like, back in ’83) and it was *this* close to being left for dead out on the curb. This Kid’s Tool Box is a super simple beginner-level project that requires minimal materials and tools. In PATRIOTIC PORCH DECOR The Fourth of July is coming up and these red, white, and blue metal lanterns are just lovely. I also planted some sweet potato vine and coleus in with my dwarf olive tree. I just love this little olive tree. I especially love the symbolism behind it: the olive tree is a symbol of peace, restoration, and victory. HOW TO BUILD A DIY FLOATING NIGHTSTAND Instructions. 1. Build the Nightstand Shell. Cut a six-foot 1×12 into four pieces: two @ 24″ (top & bottom) and two @ 11 1/2″ (sides). Make four pocket holes on the top and bottom of both of the shorter pieces (nightstand sides). With the pocket holes facing in, assemble the shell of the nightstand with 1 1/4″ pocket hole screws. HOW TO MAKE A DIY HEXAGON PLANTER OUT OF 2X4 SCRAP WOOD Here’s how to build a DIY hexagon planter out of 2×4 scrap wood: First, set the miter saw at 30º. Cut out six pieces of 2×4 like so, ensuring that the angles are not parallel. The length doesn’t matter, as long as they’re all the same.
