BE HEARD: COMMENT ON PROPOSED BRACE RULING It can be tempting to think that your voice doesn’t matter that the BATFE is going to do whatever it wants in spite of your comments. However, in recent history that commenting process has turned back a potential ATF ban on M855 ammunition. TEASER: UPDATES TO THE DAUNTLESS MFG UB-K Dauntless MFG just teased a new, ringless, version of their popular UB-K. Not everyone needs or wants a karambit style ring on their EDC/defensive utility knife and this new version replaces the ring with a pommel including a lanyard hole. The Hungarian Tanker magazines make the “better” list because of their handy size. These magazines hold only 20 rounds but their compact size makes them easy to handle and allows them to work better in pouches designed for AR-15 magazines. It is my hope that eventually these pages will be filled with useful reviews, interesting news stories, and simple do-it-yourself projects that revolve around my interests in shooting, liberty, preparedness, and the outdoors. KNIVES | JERKING THE TRIGGER | PAGE 109 Background Some time ago I completed a trade on BladeForums for a NWA W&SS Forum Knife which is now known as the Sierra Scout. I was quite excited to try my first knife from NWA based on reviews from folks on the W&SS.. I received the knife and quickly found that it was not what the person trading it had described.NAVIGATION

SPARTAN ANNOUNCES NEW V2 BIPOD BASED ON SPECIAL FORCES DESIGN By Matt on April 20,2020 in Guns
Spartan Precision Equipment, known across the world for its innovative hunting accessories, has launched the V2 bipod, a product that has been designed and developed with input from hunters and the military, including personnel associated with the Norwegian Special Forces. Made from CNC machined 7075 aluminium and top-quality carbon fibre, the V2 is not only light at just 373 grams but incredibly strong. Retailing at $465, it is available in a choice of black or grey corrosion-resistant hard-anodised finish and is designed for long-range tactical rifle platforms. With attachment options for both Picatinny and M-Lok rails, the V2 connects via a spigot mount enabling the bipod to either be fitted in seconds or hang permanently under the rifle for a rock-steady platform on just about any terrain. Its quick, adjustable ‘Tac Legs’ are made from carbon and aluminium and extend from 165mm to 225mm with five-pitch settings ranging from fully forwards to fully back. Tungsten carbide feet and durable synthetic boots provide grip on a variety of surfaces. In addition, a lockable cant function helps cope with particularly unevenground.
Like many other products in the Spartan range, the V2 has a modular design. Its legs are interchangeable with the full Spartan Pro Leg range and the V2 can also be mounted on the Sentinel tripod system or any other product fitted with a Davros mount. “The V2 carries on our proud tradition of designing innovative products and engineering them to the highest standards from the best materials,” says Spartan’s Rob Gipson. “As ever, we’ve listened to our customers’ needs and have developed a bipod that out-performs and out-functions anything else on the market – even bipods that weigh twice as much. In addition, we’ve engineered the V2 to be flexible, modular and capable of adapting to any environment or shooting situation.” SPARTAN PRECISION EQUIPMENTJAVELINBIPOD.COM

NEW FROM TOPS KNIVES: BAJA 4.5 RESERVE EDITION By Matt on April 17,2020 in Knives ,
Outdoor Gear
The TOPS Baja 3.0 and Baja 4.5 are my all-time favorite TOPS knives. To me, they stand out in TOPS’ line for their excellent full flat primary grinds, simple but comfortable handles, and they are relatively thin behind the edge making them great all-around cutters. Now there is a new addition to the Baja line – the Baja 4.5 ReserveEdition.
The Baja 4.5 Reserve Edition is very much like the original Baja 4.5 except executed with colors and finishes typical of TOPS’ other bushcraft knives for a classic and classy look. It has a new black traction coating, tan micarta handle slabs, and better-looking handle hardware. Other than that, everything that makes the original Baja 4.5 great is still there like 5/32″ 1095 steel with the excellent TOPS heat treat, a very nice leather dangler sheath, bow drill divet in the handle slabs, well-executed jimping, and more. Pick up the Baja 4.5 Reserve Edition from an authorized dealer or from TOPS at https://www.topsknives.com/baja-4-5-reserve-editionSPECS:

POCKET UNLOADER EDC DUMP TRAY FROM ADVANCED HOLSTER By Matt on April 15,2020 in EDC
If your wife is anything like my wife, she would probably appreciate it if you would confine your EDC mess to just one part of the dresser. That is where something like the Pocket Unloader EDC Dump Tray from Advanced Holster can help. This thermoplastic tray is subdivided into 3 smaller trays so you can nerd out as much as you want about what goes into which area… or you can just dump it all in there and hope for the best. It is a great place to offload your EDC flashlight, keys, knives, lighters, TQ, and more at the end of the day so you don’t have to spend the start of the next day looking for those items. The Pocket Unloader is available in a number of colors and patterns except for Black. If you like Black, you’ll love Sleeping Panther. It’s like Black but exactly the same. Spend a moment looking through the available colors. It’s sure to put a smile on your face.ADVANCEDHOLSTER.COM

SNEAK PEEK: ULTRALIGHT SAW FROM KNIFE POINT GEAR By Matt on April 14,2020 in Knives ,
Outdoor Gear
I’ve been following Alex Garland, OUTDOORS55, on Youtube
for quite a while. He has some of the most practical knife sharpening information I have found which is what originally brought me to his channel. He’s also a knife maker and is going to be releasing a very interesting ultralight saw in the next week. The saw consists of a carbon fiber tube handle with metal reinforcing ferrules at the ends. This handle can accept any standard reciprocating saw blade which is extremely clever considering how inexpensive and plentiful pruning/clean wood blades are. These blades are also made for use in power tools and tend to be very durable compared to some higher performance folding saws. The saw comes with a 12″ carbide tipped pruning recip blade, a blade cover, and the handle itself. The whole package including the blade cover weighs in at 3.95 ounces. That is extremely impressive when you consider that most 7-8″ folding saws weigh almost twice that (6.6 ounces for something like a Bahco Laplander). The stats on this saw are impressive but when you consider that it breaks down into two compact parts and doesn’t use expensive replacement blades, it looks like a real winner. Pricing and the exact release date are not available at this time. You can keep your eye on Alex’s Instagram feed and KNIFEPOINTGEAR.COM for more information.__ 0
