Welcome to the Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH) /University of Miami (UM) Internal Medicine Program website. Our campus is one of the largest medical campuses in the United States, located in the “Health District” of the city of Miami. It includes the Jackson Health System, the University of Miami Health System and the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center. JMH, with over 1,500 beds, is our primary institution. It is the only public hospital for the citizens of Miami-Dade County, and is the major teaching institution for University of Miami and one of the nation’s busiest hospitals, continually ranked in U.S. News & World Report among the "Best Hospitals in America”. By training in three very different health care systems, our housestaff experience a diversity of pathology, patients, and culture. Diversity is an overarching theme in our program, inclusive of the background and pre-residency experiences of our hoursestaff, following the philosophy that “Great minds think differently.” Our academic curriculum is similarly unique, not only in its delivery, but also in its opportunity and innovation. This variety of experiences is a key element in becoming a confident, knowledgeable, compassionate, and resourceful internist. ------------------------- Follow our Facebook for updates and pictures:*
