JUST A GIRL BLOG
I know, I know. Christmas is over. And what in the heck is a Wishmas tree? It's our family's way of thinking of other people. I started this years ago with our kids because this is quite the season of asking for things for ourselves, ya know?HOME OFFICE REVEAL
Home Office Reveal. November 10, 2018 by Chris. WOW. I may be a few days late, but I made it! Our modern home office is 96% done, and in my mind that means done. Six weeks seems like a long time to work on a project until you factor in my full-time job and my lack of energy after I get home from said full-time job. Enough about me.DIY PEDESTALS
We basically went with 2×4’s in the pattern above. We thought that would give the most support for the machines. Of course, measuring for the drawers took about three years. Once it was figured out, we covered the entire base with some inexpensive plywood. In order to trim out the front, we cut out the pieces separately. Bummer. Let’s try one more solution. I laid the curtain out flat and tied a ribbon around a long screwdriver. Using the screwdriver as the guide, it was incredibly easy to slide the ribbon right through the rod pocket—especially because the back portion was a plastic liner meant for the pleat hooks. The ones I HOW TO INSTALL A PALLET WALL {PART 1} I’d say we used around 20-25. Keep in mind that we didn’t use all the wood from each one, and there are several slats left over. Once the pieces were removed, I laid them out on a work table to scrub down with a brush and sand, sand, sand. Be careful, though. Sometimes I was sanding the “aged” finish right off. INDUSTRIAL RUSTIC DRESSER 3M Advanced Abrasives Sanding sheets starting out with 80 for stripping down to 220 for smoothing. Step 2: Age the wood. I did some research online and found a little science experiment turned finishing method. I boiled some tea (three cups, but it was over-kill). When itcooled, I
HOW TO CONVERT EARRINGS TO CLIP ON The most common approach for me is with hook earrings. As you can see, the hook is just shaped around the earring to make it dangle. Using the pliers, pull open the loop and take the earring off. Then put the earring onto the hook of the converter. Again, using the pliers, close the converter so that it holds the earring in place.DIY BIRD BATH

It needed a little more “fluff”, so I simply placed the stand over the fern. And there you have it! A decorative, natural-looking bird bath. You may notice that the placement of the bath is a little odd. While it was 84 degrees here last week, it turned into freezing rain when I decided to take pictures. As you can see, the hook is just shaped around the earring to make it dangle. Using the pliers, pull open the loop and take the earring off. Then put the earring onto the hook of the converter. Six weeks seems like a long time to work on a project until you factor in my full-time job and my lack of energy after I get home from said full-time job. Enough about me.
