Siraj-ud-Doulah, the Nawab of Bengal captured Fort William on June 20, 1756 and renamed Calcutta as Alinagar. But after the Battle of Plassey, they forced the Nawab to sign a treaty granting them permission to set up a mint at Alinagar to coin siccas and mohurs of Murshidabad standard. In October 2020, Team WHEELS surveyed the restored Delhi Road (SH-13) as an option to bypass Durgapur Expressway. Connecting Kolkata to Bardhaman, the old NH-2, popularly known as the Delhi Road, was the main thoroughfare before the construction of the Golden Quadrilateral. Ettore Bugatti was a fine engineer and designer who decided to make his first car in 1911. Called the Type 13, it established Bugatti as a top maker of light sports-racing cars with overhead camshaft 4-cylinder engines.
