LAUGHING KIDS LEARN
Teaching children to be responsible with money can be challenging, especially when they so often see us wave our cards to make any purchase. As many of my friends ask me, I thought I share with you some simple tips on teaching children about money with jars and cute labels using my Cricut Maker. LEARNING WITH LEAVES In Australia we have just experienced a really warm Autumn (Fall) season. It is always one of my favourite times of the year because the leaves are always so spectacular and it can feel like they are changing colour right before your eyes. It also opens up doors for great learning opportunities. My adorable nieceSPAGHETTI PLAY

This 3 ingredient clean mud recipe is lots of fun for kids to make and play with.Soft and mouldable, it is the perfect alternative if you have a child who struggles to touch outdoor dirt and mud. Also great for children who have sensitive skin as the ingredients are not damaging. It’s just great fun to make and play with. Possum (aged 3.5 years) absolutely loves to play with clean mud. PAINTING ON TIN FOIL Painting on Foil. For this activity you will need –. Tin foil. Board (chopping board or cake board) Paint. Painting brush or q-tips. water. I simply wrapped a piece of tin foil around a cutting board so that my girls had a solid surface to paint on. PLAYING WITH NUTS, BOLTS AND WASHERS Your children will love playing with nuts, bolts and washers.Sure they aren’t something you’d first think to offer your child to play with but they really are fun and great for developing fine motor skills and other important mathematical concepts. One of Possum’s (aged 3.5 years) favourite places to visit is our local hardwarestore.
SIMPLE LEMON SLICE RECIPE Crush biscuits and add to a bowl. Add coconut and lemon rind. Add melted butter, condensed milk and lemon juice to the biscuit mixture. Mix thoroughly. Press mixture into a slice tray. Place into the fridge for an hour. Make the icing using the above ingredients mixed together and smooth over biscuit base. Place into the fridge again for at HOW TO BUILD A CATAPULT USING CRAFT STICKS Split apart the two craft sticks that have been joined by an elastic band at one end. Place the thicker group of craft sticks between those two to hold it open. This will create the leverage needed for your catapult.
