WELCOME TO THE WORLD, SAYLOR JANE It’s been one whole month (I wrote the majority of this back in October, it’s officially been two months now) since we welcomed our sweet Saylor Jane to the world and I wanted to take a minute to record that special day before too many details escape me. I have so much tosay about
DIY DRAWER ORGANIZERS Cut a piece of 1/4″ plywood to the size of the inside of the drawer. This is going to serve as your base and it’s important for a couple of reasons. It will steady the dividers by giving them a base, and you’ll be able to take this organizer our of the drawer if you ever need to. Based on what you need for the inside of your drawer, drawTHE LEADER IN ME

When I was in school, there was a set of class rules written on a big piece of paper, it hung on the wall for everyone to see: Keep your hands to yourself, raise your hand to be recognized, respect the property of others, use inside voices when speaking. Some version of these rules followed me throughout my years in school. DIY CREASELESS HAIR TIES I’m a bit obsessed with those cute creaseless hair ties that you see everywhere. I usually keep one on my wrist so that I can throw my hair into a ponytail at any given time. They make a nice addition to my afternoon workouts, too. I can take my hair down afterwards withoutthe worry
WHOLE 30 CILANTRO LIME JALEPENO SAUCE Instructions. Add all ingredients except oil and vinegar to a food processor and process until smooth. Slowly add in the olive oil and vinegar while the food processor is still running. Allow the mixture to emulsify. Store extra in an airtight container in the refrigerator.3.5.3208.
BERRY CHEESECAKE TRIFLE, FOR THE FOURTH Begin by arranging half of the angel food cake in the bottom of a 14 cup trifle bowl. Add a layer of blueberries, be sure to put the bulk of the berries closer to the edges of the bowl. Spread a layer of the cheesecake mixture on top of the blueberries. Top mixture with a layer of strawberries. Arrange second half of the angel food cake. DATE NIGHT IN A JAR, FOR THE NEW MR. AND MRS. Just pick three colors to coordinate with your categories and spray the sticks. Put them in a separate jar and encourage guests to think of a date for the newly weds (or newly weds to be). Go ahead and have guests write their name on the sticks, the couple will have someone to thank after you go on one that they really enjoy. DISNEY FOOD BUCKET LIST Before we went to Disney World, we took a list of foods we knew we wanted to eat again or try for the first time. We had purchased a dining plan, so we had plenty of food to eat during the week. I don’t typically throw the word perfect around but this potato calls for the use of the word. It’s literally baked potato perfection. I did a little research and it turns out this isn’t even a baked potato at all, it’s a hasselback potato. You learn something new every day, right? SURVIVING TO THRIVING: HOME, REFINED surviving to thriving: home, refined. October 13, 2015. The next big obstacle was our home. It definitely made the top five for me, not because of the structure that it is, but because of the time we spend here. The conversations that will shape my children, the laughter that will fill memories forever, it’s ours and I love it so. QUICK AND EASY BREAKFAST PIZZAS Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll out the individual biscuits to flatten them, making mini pizza crusts. In a sauce pan, melt butter, add flour and whisk until combined. Cook about 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously (don't allow the mixture to brown). Remove from heat and whisk in ½ cup of milk, return to eat and let the sauce thicken. BALLOON TOPIARY, DIY Simply tie a know in the two balloons to keep them together. Continue this process with 5 sets of balloons (10 total balloons). After all of your balloons are tied together, you’ll start twisting the sets to connect them and build the topiary. I’ve tried to coordinate with Allen to film this video, but things have been busy around here. DIY DRAWER ORGANIZERS Cut a piece of 1/4″ plywood to the size of the inside of the drawer. This is going to serve as your base and it’s important for a couple of reasons. It will steady the dividers by giving them a base, and you’ll be able to take this organizer our of the drawer if you ever need to. Based on what you need for the inside of your drawer, draw BALLOON TOPIARY, DIY Simply tie a know in the two balloons to keep them together. Continue this process with 5 sets of balloons (10 total balloons). After all of your balloons are tied together, you’ll start twisting the sets to connect them and build the topiary. CHEESE AND CHICKEN SHELLS For filling: Stir together egg whites, ricotta, chicken, spinach, garlic powder, basil, and seasoning. Stir in 1/4 c of mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese. Fill each shell with mixture and place filled shells in the baking dish on top of the sauce. Spread remaining sauce on top. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and salt and pepper totaste.

I don’t typically throw the word perfect around but this potato calls for the use of the word. It’s literally baked potato perfection. Shortly after we celebrated Braylens sixth birthday (just two short weeks, to be exact), we celebrated Judson's second birthday. Having two April birthdays makes for a busy month. QUICK AND EASY BREAKFAST PIZZAS Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll out the individual biscuits to flatten them, making mini pizza crusts. In a sauce pan, melt butter, add flour and whisk until combined. Cook about 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously (don't allow the mixture to brown). Remove from heat and whisk in ½ cup of milk, return to eat and let the sauce thicken. BACON BREAKFAST CASSEROLE Cook and crumble bacon, set aside. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9X13" dish. Add croutons to the bottom of dish, pour melted butter over croutons. Cover with shredded cheese. In a sperate bowl, mix eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and mustard, pour over cheese. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the the top. Bake for 40 minutes, allow casseroleto

Shortly after we celebrated Braylens sixth birthday (just two short weeks, to be exact), we celebrated Judson's second birthday. Having two April birthdays makes for a busy month. SURVIVING TO THRIVING: HOME, REFINED surviving to thriving: home, refined. October 13, 2015. The next big obstacle was our home. It definitely made the top five for me, not because of the structure that it is, but because of the time we spend here. The conversations that will shape my children, the laughter that will fill memories forever, it’s ours and I love it so. WELCOME TO THE WORLD, SAYLOR JANE It’s been one whole month (I wrote the majority of this back in October, it’s officially been two months now) since we welcomed our sweet Saylor Jane to the world and I wanted to take a minute to record that special day before too many details escape me. QUICK AND EASY BREAKFAST PIZZAS Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll out the individual biscuits to flatten them, making mini pizza crusts. In a sauce pan, melt butter, add flour and whisk until combined. Cook about 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously (don't allow the mixture to brown). Remove from heat and whisk in ½ cup of milk, return to eat and let the sauce thicken. BACON BREAKFAST CASSEROLE Cook and crumble bacon, set aside. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9X13" dish. Add croutons to the bottom of dish, pour melted butter over croutons. Cover with shredded cheese. In a sperate bowl, mix eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and mustard, pour over cheese. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the the top. Bake for 40 minutes, allow casseroleto
WHOLE 30 CILANTRO LIME JALEPENO SAUCE Instructions. Add all ingredients except oil and vinegar to a food processor and process until smooth. Slowly add in the olive oil and vinegar while the food processor is still running. Allow the mixture to emulsify. Store extra in an airtight container in the refrigerator.3.5.3208.
BALLOON TOPIARY, DIY Simply tie a know in the two balloons to keep them together. Continue this process with 5 sets of balloons (10 total balloons). After all of your balloons are tied together, you’ll start twisting the sets to connect them and build the topiary. I’ve tried to coordinate with Allen to film this video, but things have been busy around here. I don’t typically throw the word perfect around but this potato calls for the use of the word. It’s literally baked potato perfection. I did a little research and it turns out this isn’t even a baked potato at all, it’s a hasselback potato. You learn something new every day, right? Either way, it’s sheerSHRIMPTACOBOWLS

MINI LASAGNA CUPS
24 small square wonton wrappers. 1 1/2 c part skim mozzarella cheese. Preheat oven to 375. Brown the turkey in a skillet with a pinch of salt and pepper (more or less to suit your taste). When the turkey is cooked through, add garlic and stir constantly for 30 seconds. Add jar of tomato sauce plus 2 tsp of oregano and heat thoroughly. WHOLE 30 CILANTRO LIME JALEPENO SAUCE Instructions. Add all ingredients except oil and vinegar to a food processor and process until smooth. We recently went on our annual beach vacation to the white sandy shores of Gulf Shores. I'll recap that later, but while I had some of my favorites in a folder on my desktop, I thought I'd go ahead and add them to the blog. We met up with Kamin from Spark and Arrow for the second year in a row. We've been having our family photos made at the beach for the past six years.
