In 1823, he was elected as a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London, one of the world’s most distinguished botanical societies even today. COMMUNITY NEWS: CHURCHES IN BC STILL NOT ALLOWED TO MEET In response, the BC government filed an injunction application, targeting the three churches who filed the court challenge. On February 17, the Court denied the government’s request for an injunction. The Hippie movement had brought 100,000 youth to Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco for the 1967 Summer of Love. By the end of 1969, many had died from drug overdoses. In December 1969, a young man was stabbed to death at a free rock concert in Altamont, California. Out of the ashes of the failed Hippie ACTIONS AND THOUGHTS OF NOBLE KINDNESS In the Bible though the word ‘noble’ does appear. In Philippians Chapter 4, Verse 6 – 8, Paul tells us how to experience God’s peace and reduce anxiety in our lives. He tells us to focus our thoughts on “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable” (NIV).
