Maximize RPM with the idle mixture screws, then reduce idle speed to 850-1000 (lowest smooth idle speed) with the idle speed adjustment screw. Tweak the idle mixture screws again at this speed. DOOR LATCH, LOCK, HANDLE ASSEMBLY : BODY / CHASSIS / FRAME Mount door panel loosely by positioning top in the glass slot and letting it hang. Mount inside door handle if not done in step two. From above the door, reach down and attach the lock rod 42 to interior door handle assembly by pushing into the hole while manipulating interior lock tab. From under the door, reach up and attach the doorlatch

They look exactly like the MM shafts. The only real difference is probably the CV joint manufacturer - GKN vs VW. Location: Aldridge, West Midlands, UK. SEALING LEAKY BONDED WINDSCREEN WITH 3M 08509 : BODY Wipes off the paintwork with a rag, and you can use it even if the surfaces are wet. Apparently. This is 3M's description.. What do people think is an acceptable run out of a wheel rim before it is noticeable while driving? and thus when the rim is therefore not usable. WEBER DCOE 40 151 FUEL LEVEL : FUEL SYSTEM / CARBS BY I set the fuel level from above as recommended by Keith Franck of `side draft central` who knows a lot about Weber carburettors. he recommends 25mm below the top of the float chamber. On my 151s the rim of the jet cover is 16mm above the float chamber top so I measure 41mm down from there. I remove one of the main jets and use an ordinary TWIN CAM - CAM COVER : ENGINE / EXHAUST / COOLING BY Just tighten it evenly enough to partially compress the gasket and leave it at that. LOTUS TWIN CAM REBUILD PART 1 Part 1 - The Short Block. It could be put off no longer. At 30% leakdown, the Europa's Twin Cam engine was a shadow of its former self. And besides, if we wanted to get somewhat serious about creating a nationally competitive A/Street Prepared car, a full blueprinting job was in order. So we yanked it. STROMBERG RUNNING VERY RICH : FUEL SYSTEM / CARBS BY Hold the piston up to the light and compare the width of the gauge with where the needle shoulder is, then re-position the needle downwards by the gauge width. If the shoulder is hidden then it's more tricky. Just try and get the needles down by visually comparing the change against the gauge. Unfortunately these engines are no longer in their prime, and being of a "sporting" configuration most have not led a sedate life. The only thing I can add is the the manual quotes a single clearance for inlet as 0.005 to 0.007, but for exhaust the clearance is 0.006 to 0.008 up to engine number 9951, and 0.009 to 0.011 for later engines.
