Marina Island is a private reclaimed island and home to the Marina Island Pangkor Resort and Hotel. The island is joined to the mainland by a bridge so travellers looking to reach Pangkor Island can drive to Marina Island, leave the car there and catch a ferry. TRANQUERAH - MALACCA - MALAYSIA TRAVELLER Tranquerah, or Jalan Tengkera, is one such area. The name is of Portuguese origin and means ‘palisades’. This district, just beyond the walls of the old Malacca city, was under Portuguese control and defended by means of wooden ramparts or palisades at a time when the city was under frequent attack by Malay, Acehnese and Javanesetrying to
CLUB MED CHERATING BEACH MALAYSIA Club Med Cherating calls itself an eco-nature resort and it was clear that they try to leave their piece of rainforest in its natural state as far as possible. Indeed we encountered three snakes in the resort in just five days - one up a tree on the beach, one near the tennis courts and a bright green and no doubt venomous one sunbathing on a HIKING KETUMBAR HILL Hiking Ketumbar Hill. A Walk With Wild Boars. Ketumbar Hill (Bukit Ketumbar) is a modest sized hill of around 300 metres above sea level in the Cheras area of Kuala Lumpur. The hill is part of a stretch of forest reserve which also includes Bukit Apek and Bukit Saga. Its location catches the breezes which help to make the hike moreenjoyable.

TAMAN TUGU FOREST TRAIL Taman Tugu is a welcome addition to KL's green spaces which are under constant threat from urban development. BATU CAVES - ONE OF MALAYSIA'S TOP TOURIST ATTRACTIONS The main Cave is known as the Temple Cave or Cathedral Cave and is accessed by a steep flight of 272 steps.. The top of the stairs brings you into a massive cave with a high vaulted ceiling. The cave serves as a Hindu Temple devoted to Lord Muragan whose 42 meter high gold statue stands guard outside. CLUB MED CHERATING BEACH MALAYSIA Club Med Cherating calls itself an eco-nature resort and it was clear that they try to leave their piece of rainforest in its natural state as far as possible. Indeed we encountered three snakes in the resort in just five days - one up a tree on the beach, one near the tennis courts and a bright green and no doubt venomous one sunbathing on a HIKING KETUMBAR HILL Hiking Ketumbar Hill. A Walk With Wild Boars. Ketumbar Hill (Bukit Ketumbar) is a modest sized hill of around 300 metres above sea level in the Cheras area of Kuala Lumpur. The hill is part of a stretch of forest reserve which also includes Bukit Apek and Bukit Saga. Its location catches the breezes which help to make the hike moreenjoyable.
MERDEKA BRIDGE KEDAH Merdeka Bridge Kedah (Jambatan Merdeka) was built in 1955 and officially opened in 1957, the year of the country's independence, by Malaysia’s first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman. The bridge spans the Sungei Muda, the longest river in Kedah which has its source far away near Tasik Muda close to the border with Thailand.
