HOW IT FELT TO LOSE MY HUSBAND OF 50 YEARS DURING LOCKDOWN David’s funeral was very low key, even with being allowed 30 people. Many of our immediate family couldn’t be there due to the four-tier lockdown. So just like the Queen I had to sit in the crematorium on my own. I wrote the eulogy and read it out. Read our information Coronavirus if you're caring for someone at the end of life INFORMATION ON HOSPICE VISITING ARRANGEMENTS DURING CORONAVIRUS We understand that families want to be with their loved ones when they’re admitted to a Marie Curie hospice , and under normal circumstances we support open visiting. But, due to the increasing numbers of people affected by the coronavirus pandemic, we’re having to do things a little differently at the moment. We’ve had to make some difficult decisions and we ask for your support, so we can we can protect patients, visitors and staff and continue to run as many services as possible. Over the coming days and weeks, we may need to make more changes in line with government advice. Please keep checking back if you're planning to use any of our services or hoping to visit the hospice. Each of our hospices have worked with local healthcare partners to decide on what’s best.
