Movement Research at the Judson Church is one of a number of MR programs intended to serve as a creative laboratory and incubator for wide-ranging artistic investigations in movement-based forms; this series is a platform for artists at various stages of their creative development. Movement Research offers a variety of internship opportunities for artists and emerging arts workers ages 18 and up. We offer ongoing internships during our Fall and Spring seasons, as well as winter and summer internships geared to college and university students andrecent graduates.

Fabio Tavares is a queer Brazilian artist who’s been obsessed with the human body in action from a very young age. He started off as a competitive Gymnast before running away to join the circus at the age of 15 where he got his first professional job as an acrobat.EVA KARCZAG
Eva Karczag. Independent dance artist. For the past four decades has practiced, taught, and advocated for explorative methods of dance making. She danced with the Trisha Brown Dance Company from 1979–85. Currently performs solo and collaborative work, and teachesinternationally.
