MT ELIZA FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB CLUB HISTORY The Brief History of the Mount Eliza Football Netball Club. The Mt Eliza Football Club formed in 1968 with Jim Willis the founding President at the helm. Home games were played at Baden Powell Drive in the old Club colors of Grey and Yellow, before the switch to the new Home ground at the Emil Madsen Reserve at Wooralla Drive in 1970. MT ELIZA FOOTBALL NETBALL CLUB ROUND 4 The scenes were reminiscent of a grand final win. When the final siren sounded at Mt Eliza on Saturday, a mighty roar went up and hundreds of Redlegs fans sprinted on to Emil Madsen Reserve to celebrate their side’s gripping four point win over Sorrento. The Mt Eliza Football Club formed in 1968 with Jim Willis the founding President at the helm. Home games were played at Baden Powell Drive in the old Club colors of Grey and Yellow, before the switch to the new Home ground at the Emil Madsen Reserve at Wooralla Drive in 1970. When the final siren sounded at Mt Eliza on Saturday, a mighty roar went up and hundreds of Redlegs fans sprinted on to Emil Madsen Reserve to celebrate their side’s gripping four point win over Sorrento. The Mt Eliza Football Netball Club have formed a Committee that will provide this direction, good corporate governance and a dedication to get the job done. As I mentioned at the club AGM we will need the support of everyone within the club to achieve this . Success is a journey not a destination. We must be prepared to do the work required to be successful. There will be many roles that need to filled over the next year, there will be many functions and fundraisers that we need supported and there will be some hard work and a lot of fun times ahead.
