This week, Senator Sanders once again championed a huge investment in OAA by circulating a Dear Colleague letter urging his fellow Senators to support doubling N4A | NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AREA AGENCIES ON AGING Earlier this week, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Aduhelm (aducanumab) to treat people living with Alzheimer’s disease, the first new drug to treat Alzheimer’s disease in 17 years. This is a key decision, not only because of how long it has been since the last Alzheimer’s drug was approved, but also because this is the first Alzheimer’s medication directed at N4A | NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AREA AGENCIES ON AGINGABOUT N4AADVOCACYAGING SERVICESN4A INITIATIVESRESOURCESFOR PROFESSIONALS The U.S. Administration on Aging estimates that for every $1 of federal OAA investment, an additional $3 is leveraged.
