NAPER SETTLEMENT
Naper Settlement is an outdoor 19th-century history museum that serves northeastern Illinois as a unique educational and cultural resource. The village tells the story of how life changed throughout the 19th century for the people of northern Illinois in towns such as Naperville. During this era, Naper's Settlement was transformed from aNAPER NIGHTS
July 16-17, August 13-14, and September 17-18 | 5-10PM. Get ready for a summertime tradition that features cold drinks, great food, and fabulous music! Naper Nights explores major historical milestones and their effect on pop culture with themed musical tribute concerts. Rock out with your community as you eat, drink, dance, and hear the area's CAMP NAPER SUMMER DAY CAMPS Camp Naper Summer Day Camps. Camp Naper offers kids in grades 1-6 fun, unique, hands-on activities, with advanced activities for older campers. All camps include supplies and a snack and are led by experienced, adult counselors. Unless otherwise noted, all camps are recommended for children entering grades 1-6 in the fall. Camp Hours:9 am-3 pm.

Since 1969, the Naperville Heritage Society's valiant volunteers and generous contributors have relocated and restored 30 endangered historical structures on a municipally-owned site in the heart of Naperville. Since 1969, the Naperville Heritage Society's valiant volunteers and generous contributors have relocated and restored 30 endangered historical structures on a municipally-owned site in the heart of Naperville. MARTIN MITCHELL MANSION Martin Mitchell Mansion - 1890s. The Martin family’s grand home was also a place of business. In 1883, George Martin built a new house for his family on the rural edge of downtown Naperville. Called Pinecraig, the home stood on Locust Hill near Martin’s limestone quarries along the DuPage River. Martin’s quarrying business boomed after STONECARVER’S SHOP Stonecarver’s Shop - 1880s. Quarrying was a major industry in nineteenth-century Naperville –a town built on a bed of limestone. Three limestone quarries produced thousands of tons of stone, supplying durable material for building construction and jobs for skilled craftsmen like Henry Miller. Miller opened his stonecuttingbusiness in

Joseph Naper was a visionary businessman and patriot with a desire to improve his family and community. His education and life experience forged a deep-seated desire to build and explore.
