ARCH COLLAPSE IN ARCHES NATIONAL PARK (RAINBOW ARCH Arch Collapse in Arches National Park (Rainbow Arch) Rainbow Arch, located just above the visitor center in Arches National Park, collapsed sometime this winter. A park ranger noticed it was no longer standing during a hike in February. The arch was cataloged by Stevens and McCarrick as SA-137 and had a reported span of 11.7 feet.GREAT ARCH OF GETU

Fairy Bridge (Xian Ren Qiao) is a meander natural bridge carved through limestone karst by the Buliu River. It is located about 40 km (as the crow flies) northwest of NABSQNO 16S-541455-4237311. NABSQNO 16S-541455-4237311. Arrowhead Arch is a cave natural arch eroded through Tar Spring sandstone. It is located in the Hemlock Cliffs area of Hoosier National Forest. The arch is on land owned by the Nature Conservancy, but managed by the US Forest Service. Access is via a confusing set of trails.BOB'S ARCHES
Drive east of tuba city on Hwy 160 to milepost 349.8. Here, you will see an elevated railway over an arroyo and a vehicle tunnel to thenorth.

First count the number of maximum strides between the two points and multiply by your maximum stride length. Repeat using your minimum and average strides. A reasonably good estimate of the distance is the average of these threeresults.

This spectacular shelter arch is located in Escalante Canyon at its junction with Stevens Canyon, just upstream from Coyote Gulch, in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.At first glance, it appears that there is no way to get up to this arch, but it is actually not difficult or even scary to hike up inside it.BOB'S ARCHES

N 12S-331138-4122788 POSSIBLE NATURAL ARCH ON MARS The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) began its high-resolution imaging of Mars on November 7, 2006. The MRO carried a camera with a resolution capability of up to 25 cm per pixel, which is good enough to spot natural arches if they are visible from above. GALLERY - GRAND CANYON, ARIZONA - NATURAL ARCHES Relatively little is known about the many natural arches in Grand Canyon, for two reasons: (1) most of them are extremely difficult to get to, often requiring multi-day backpacks over rough and trailless terrain, and (2) many of them, while spectacular to visit, just arenot photogenic.
GREAT ARCH OF GETU
Getu Valley National Park is a haven for rock climbers and contains not one but two large arches adjacent to each other. The main arch is usually referred to on the internet as the Great Arch of Getu but is also known as Shuiyanba Dong or Chuangshang Cave. GALLERY - MONUMENT VALLEY, ARIZONA - NATURAL ARCHES SKELETON ARCH is pictured in the Stan Jones Gallery (use the BACK button to return to this page). This is large pothole arch eroded in DeChelly sandstone. It is isolated from other Monument Valley arches and is located east of the central valley attractions. It is remote and seldom visited, but is a particularly spectacular arch.OUTLAW ARCH
