MORROW MOUNTAIN STATE PARK Choose an adventure at Morrow Mountain State Park, whether it’s hiking, camping, paddling, fishing, horseback riding, swimming or just taking in scenery on one of the highest points in the piedmont. More than 15 miles of hiking trails and 16 miles of bridle trails thread the park, reaching from the summit of Morrow Mountain to Lake Tillery RAVEN ROCK STATE PARK Raven Rock State Park. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance. There is a $3 surcharge per reservation/per night's stay to support the reservations system. A single site can be reserved for a maximum of 14 consecutive nights within any 30-day period. NEW RIVER STATE PARK New River State Park is base camp for exploration of this river at two principal spots—Wagoner Road access and US 221 access. Both offer walk-in camping a few hundred feet from parking areas and both offer paddling access. RV camping is available at U.S. 221 access. Primitive, canoe-in camping is available at multiple access areasalong the
MEDOC MOUNTAIN STATE PARK The address for the campground is 586 Medoc State Park Rd. All park facilities are open. Reservations are required for all camping; no walk-ups permitted. You can make a reservation online or by calling Aspira at 1-877-722-6762. A properly worn mask or face covering, covering both the nose and the mouth, is required to enter the visitorcenter.
STONE MOUNTAIN STATE PARK Stone Mountain State Park. The massive granite dome at Stone Mountain State Park keeps watch on park visitors enjoying nearly every type of outdoor activity – camping, hiking, climbing, fishing, picnicking, horseback riding and more. CROWDERS MOUNTAIN STATE PARK Current status of park facilities. All accesses and trails at Crowders Mountain State Park are open. Park hours are 8:00am to 9:00pm. Rock climbing and bouldering for individuals and groups are open; self-registration by ALL individuals (members of groups as well) is required by park regulations. PETTIGREW STATE PARK Pettigrew State Park. Visitors can explore 16,000-acre Lake Phelps and its surrounding landscape by land or water at Pettigrew State Park. The fishing is legendary and boaters with kayaks, canoes and shallow-draft boats will find easy launch sites. Also, nearby access allows boaters onto the placid, blackwater Scuppernong River. ENO RIVER STATE PARK Eno River State Park—like its namesake—flows near urban areas of Durham and Orange counties with five scattered access areas, each just minutes from town amenities. The Eno River’s waters roll past mature forests, historic mill and home sites and river bluffs covered with flowering shrubs and across fords used by early settlers. JORDAN LAKE STATE RECREATION AREA Jordan Lake State Recreation Area. Jordan Lake State Recreation Area is a collective of nine access areas scattered around the shoreline of this undeveloped, 14,000-acre reservoir.
